Not only did ariana phrase those whistles, but her lowest whistle was a damn E5 3:51. Its hella difficult to enter even the 5th octave in whistle but the fact she went THAT low into the 5th octave IN WHISTLE is insane to me. It requires so much control, thats crazy.

@@ajsjsoaisidid5297 that's absolutely wrong. She was BORN with nodules. Well, you can't be born with nodules right away but she developed nodules below the age of 1. The nodules, in fact, help Mariah whistle and sing high. If you look up her speaking in interviews or whatever you can hear how low her speaking voice is. The nodules gradually within the years kept getting worse and worse; leading her to have difficulties w singing. Her technique is absolutely healthy, but that wasn't healthy was her overuse of her voice. 🙂

The thing with the trumpet is kinda easy to explain - obviously all those "live performances" are not 100% live in the way that each song is probably been done a few times to get several angles while filming + making sure the performance is good and satisfying by the artist (I mean, mistakes might happen here and there...). So in each take the trumpet guy might played different phrases and improvised, but in the video editing process they put the wrong footage (or it was the only option from this angle and suited better visually speaking) without noticing he's not playing the right notes in this specific part
