I really think the strain Bebe puts on her voice while singing is purely psychological. You can tell as in her candid clips when she's calm, her voice resonates beautifully but in a live, stage setting her voice gets blocked almost. Perhaps anxiety. Her technique has improved greatly over the years though.

It was really hard to judge, because almost every Ariana's clip was from professional concert, and Bebe's ones were form concerts and from Instagram/other lives where she was just "playing" with her voice and had fun. I think that it would be better to compere them when they perform on good recorded concerts/lives. But I really liked thi vocal battle tho ;)
