I love that Billie is so big without having a powerful voice. It shows people that they don't have to have a powerful voice to have potential, some people try so hard to sound powerful when they can sound beautiful when they sing softer and focus more on other things like pitch, breathing and pronunciation.

I love Billie’s note bends and the harmonic choices she and Finneas make. It still amazes me that there is such dynamic nuance in her voice with so little volume, but I did notice she used a little less air this time and was really selective where she added it, or didn’t. I’m classically trained and can’t sing that soft at all. The note bends are easy if you listen and sing the Blues and Jazz enough. But volume control that soft is freakin hard to do and stay on pitch. Love her tone soooo much. Is that tone coming from squashing her vowels somewhat with her soft palate and using a more foreword placement? P.s. Please could you react to Dimash’s new song ‘Your Love’? It a collaboration between Dimash, Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian. Thanks Tara. Greetings from Tasmania Australia 👋👋🦘🦘🦘❤️❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely love your comments. You completely understand that singers have different capabilities and each person works to develop THEIR package. I mean, you are a vocal coach so that is your job, but I see a lot of reactions wishing Billie would do more which annoys me. Sure enough that Billie hasn't demonstrated extreme belts yet, but she doesn't need to right now. She's mastered her art for where she's at right now in her career and she's clearly earned a following that worship it. With time she may even develop it further. On a side note though, as a vocal coach I think a great video for you to react to would be Leah McFall - Wolf Den (Live) - a vocal goddess in my opinion.

Finneas gave a great interview on Fallon where he said he is ALWAYS sampling sounds. In Bury a Friend there is a dental drill that is in the background from when Billie was getting her Invisolines. In Bad Guy the high hats are actually a sampling from the sound you hear at crosswalks in Australia. She's amazing without post production but I'd Love to be able to tear apart the background and find the hidden "easter eggs" that they layer into the supporting back. JUST found this out seeing the interview.

You're so right about the climax of the song - it's not a huge note, but it's such a release from the moody tension from the rest of the song that the payoff feels incredibly real. I think it's such a good lesson for singers - to understand you don't have to have the biggest range or whatever. Instead, you have to treat your voice like a unique, one-of-a-kind instrument and figure out how best to play it. Because every voice can do something different.

Billie is very young. Young vocal folds. She also has studied other singers like Aurora and Lana Delray. Clever cookie. I’m a speech language pathologist specializing in voice disorders and also a singer. I try to imitate these young singers. Like Aurora. Lots of fun. My hubby is my best audience. He gets blown away. I’ve been singing to audiences since I was 6. I am 61 and hubby says I sound so young when I sing. It’s all about breath control and using your resonators. Vocal hygiene.

She is very smart about letting it build. I would love to see her belt a song and see what she really can do

I like your reactions, you actually listen perfomances as whole and don't pause and break it down until after you hear them.
