I recommend you react to Blackpink’s “Ready for Love”. Jisoo’s bridge is heavenly. The rest of the members also killed it, but I do think that it gave Jisoo a singing part that really accentuates her vocal talent. Just my opinion though. The song is also good.

Pink Venom might be one of Blackpink’s massive hits to date. It’s a bit different from what we’re all used to hearing from them. They’ve incorporated sounds that are upbeat but also hit the mark. I’m not the biggest Blackpink fan, but I’m glad all the members are getting better and better as time passes. We never miss out on your videos, Tristan. You’re simply one of the best when it comes to critiquing songs and singers/musicians/songwriters in general.

I honestly didn’t see much of a difference from their usual stuff besides Jennie having a rap part. I don’t think 2 years of waiting were worth it. Teddy always does the same thing and if he gave the girls the opportunity of doing something new themselves ,like lovesickgirls when it came out , maybe there wouldn’t have been so many mixed feelings about this song.

Yes, this is exactly what I've been saying! Blackpink get such a disproportionate amount of hate just for being a popular group. People immediately hopped on the hate wagon when they released Ready for Love which wasn't even a comeback song, it was just their collaboration with PUBG yet you'll find tons of people so eager to trash it just because it's tied to BlackPink. Not to mention the whole "they were gone for 2 years, it should have been better than simply another BlackPink sounding song." Like groups have never been on hiatuses for way longer and came back with a generic sounding song and album - there's no reason for BlackPink to be held to this godly expectation just for being inactive.

I think so too just off my gut feeling. I get it if people don't like the song that's completely fine. But I've seen a lot of nasty things said about them for releasing this after "so long" when it's not a bad song at all. I don't know if BP was taking a break or touring or whatever but I think artists should be allowed to take "breaks" without needing to release something completely revolutionary. Song is still doing really well so obviously, either way, people overall really like it.

Blackpink finally come back. It seems like they are entering hip hop genre now. They really trying new things and from what i know on the main track which is called "Shut Down". The harmony of classical and trendy hip hop beats leaves a memorable impression, and the addictive melody and witty lyrics come together to offer listeners the kind of excitement, only "Shut Down" can. Expect all of their other songs in the album is gonna be like hip hop, rock genre, EDM type song, pop song and a ballad song. This is what the description for all their songs in the album

What I've noticed about all blackpink songs is that they grow on you. I'm always underwhelmed when I first listen, but I keep listening lol They're catchy, recognizable, easy to sing along to, etc. While they might not be masterpieces, the producers know what they're doing to make the songs popular 🤷🏼‍♀️
