The leader Soyeon really prioritizes individuality, so much so that when they were trainees she made the members stop taking voice lessons because the teacher they had, taught in a very structured way, teaching them all to use the same techniques and methods whereas she wanted someone who could bring out their individual charms. It's pretty impressive that she knew exactly what she wanted for the group when she couldn't have been older than 19 at the time.

++if you deicide to dive more into idle I recommend Nxde, they have one of the most bizarre discographies in kpop - in the most positive and unique ways possible. You will never be able to predict what they'll do musically next rather than having a distinct sound like majority of groups

In the video he pronounced it right actually. Yes, the G is silent, but, also, pronouncing G is not a mistake - girls themselves, when introducing themselves in English say "gee-idle", so saying g idle is also correct. And about the meaning, if you're intrested, it's not "girl idols". "I" in "i-dle" stands for "I" as a pronoun, and "dle" is a Korean word (?) for plural, so the meaning is "a group of individuals (who happend to be girls)". As for G, you were right.

(G)I-dle are a very special group who writes, makes and produces their own song. They plan their every album from songs down to their looks and costumes. Tristan If you don't react to their killing voice I will have to sue 😍 anyways here's some more on the group Gidle is a 5 member south Korean girl group under cube entertainment. Originally a 6 member lineup, member soojin had to sadly depart due to allegations against her that were later proven to be false. (cube didn't even try to protect her but that's a whole other story as to why their company is trash) Soyeon is the leader of the group. She writes and produces all of their music. Members yuqi and Minnie have also written and produced music for the group, they are truly the definition of self made! Soyeon is the main rapper and vocalist of the group. Minnie and miyeon are both main vocalists, yuqi is a lead vocalist and lead dancer and shuhua is sub vocalist, dancer, and visual (miyeon also has a visual position). They have worked relentlessly hard to become a strong precense in the industry. I would recommend you listen to nxde, oh my god, lion, hwaa, and tomboy to get you started!

Soyeon is actually a genius. She writes, produces and comes up with the concept for each and every of their songs and the members pick their lines. If you look at their behind the scenes you can see Soyeon instructing them and coaching them having a clear vision of the songs. You should definitely listen to Lion though it’s one of their best works imo

The reason why the voices transition are so good is because one of the members is the writter of the song and she asign the lines thinking of each voice. Her name is Soyeon and there is a viral video where they showed how they do the record process of another song. Just impresive. A self made group.

As far as I can see you sadly never did another (G)I-DLE reaction after this. I'm not really into K-Pop, but BLACKPINK and (G)I-DLE get me everytime. Love both of these groups a lot. I don't know if you read comments under old videos like this one, but if you happen to read this I would love you to check out more (G)I-DLE. They had a comeback last month. (G)I-DLE is by far one of my favorite Korean groups. I can't think of any song from them that I dislike even a little haha. The G in their name is silent, as they wanted to be seen as more than just "girl" artists. However, I have heard the pronounce the G themselves on occasion. You like high notes, well not to worry, there are some impressive ones in their other songs. I strongly recommend their song "Hwaa" not only because it's one of my favorites, but also because it was the last music video they did with their sixth member, Soojin. I am sure you would love her voice as well. Other songs I suggest checking out are: TOMBOY, Lion, Allergy (the song preceding Queencard), Nxde, MY BAG, Oh My God, Put It Straight, and Senorita. I could go on and on, but that's more than enough for now lol.

To me (G)I-DLE is one of the most talented groups ever. Why? Soyeon is the genius behind most of these songs. She is a multi talented woman, who climbed up the ladder to be one of the best leaders in the industry. They are live amazing, their voices are so different from each other, their concepts are versatile and suit the group perfectly. Listening to K-pop since 15 years and they are my highlight. I am so happy Miyeon is with them, not with another popular group.

yes please for the Killing Voice. it would be a great preview for their music over the years as well as their vocals. i don't consider myself a fan/follower of this group(yet, maybe) but they're definitely sth different from the typical popular kpop girlgroups in terms of almost everything that i just like to see how others view them as well n i guess i kinda root for them too. in terms of music video story, this mv is continuation of their previous song/mv Allergy so watching the two mvs will give better understanding of the story.
