Completely agree with you ! I didn't know Lady Gaga... I should have listened her before. She's awsome ! I remember Brooke Simson in The Voice. She was one of my favorite... I hope one day you will react to Lara Fabian "Adagio" or "Je suis malade".

Jessie J had a stronger voice than the other girl, but both killed it. Tori Kelly vs Holly Tandy... Holly has a bit of a richer sound with more depth to her tone, but they both have strength and enough resonance. Tori's agility was presented in both clips, whereas we didn't get to hear it from Holly.

Kesha vs Brooke is tough. Kesha isn't known as a strong vocalist, but this song and performance was supposed to be about her rawness and her emotion, drawing from her personal experiences anyway. Brooke , I watched her on The Voice two years ago, she's one of the best vocalists discovered this WHOLE DECADE. Yes, I'm not exaggerating, and yes, you should check her out more.

Sia vs Emmaly. Sia sounded good in those clips, but I can still some jaw tension. I like that Emmaly wasn't pushing to be as loud at the top, that tells me understands her voice and is an intelligent singer. If I judge by intelligent singing strategy, she'd win. If I judge by result, I think they tied personally. Sia could get the slight edge for her power and resonance up top.

The comment towards the end re knowing they'll make it. My gosh! Yes! I have had to stop listening to the radio when certain trends take hold, i.e the massive high belts for blokes and women and also the whisper singing. Both can be great when done right but so many of the hits on the radio make me feel like it hurt them to do it. Either the belts feeling really shouty or the whisper singing feeling like they're gasping for breath by the end of the phrase. I don't know why but I get this really odd feeling in my own throat when I hear people struggling! So bizarre. But luckily that's mainly top 40 stuff and there's a lot of artists in there that don't force it and I can usually find them online but if I just leave the radio playing I end up having to switch it off on certain singers which makes me feel bad, sometimes I end up looking for instrumental versions as there will be beautiful music behind the singer but I just can't listen to the singer. It's a shame I react weird to it ha.

Enid vs Adele, I thought while Adele has a naturally powerful voice, Enid had more open throated ease and resonance. Adele was a bit shouty at some points, probably due to throat tension which also may have caused the flatness. Gaga vs Kitty, I could tell before you said anything that Kitty had a tense sound to her voice, like she was pushing too hard on her cords. Not good.

Ariana vs Candice. The closest one to a tie in this video. Candice with more runs, Ariana with more high notes, and more resonant high notes. You could say its a tie, but I'll go with my heart and pick Ariana.
