Yes, it was pretty much a scandal when they failed to pick her. They claimed it was because her skills were too far advanced for them to offer her any mentoring. She was 13 in this clip. That level of skill at that age is astonishing.

This was a skandal on Russian TV and The voice kids. Diana arrived at this contest afther winning 50 competitions and so they didn't turn, but was also the Diana's fortune. If You want to hear some special react to "The Crow"! Thanks.

Thank you for putting so much time and effort into your analysis. Your knowledge and enthusiasm added to young Diana Akudinova's performance. She still sings this. There are a couple of recent videos. I think she sang it as an encore at the end of some of her concerts earlier this year.

This is what I found out through the years. The younger gentleman had his team full, couldn't press button. young lady, while performing at Diana's hometown, invited her to come up on stage and sing with her. For me, Diana sang better than the professional. Also, she gave what i think was an apology to Diana in front of the audience. All the judges received a lot of criticism for not turning. Diana has said in interviews, when one door closes, a better one opens up. FYI if you see this...... Diana released a few weeks ago a lyric video called THE DAY YOU.... has excellent subtitals and is her own song. Should not be copy writted for she doesn't block, only the network tv shows block the video and lets the sound go through. Hear Diana as she has greatly expanded her range. In this song she tops out at a sustained D6. Hope you see this.......

I see this video is over 2 years old but I thought I would post a comment anyway. First, someone has mentioned Diana was 10 years old here and not 13 and that is how I remember it when I first viewed it over 2 years ago. And 2nd, when I first viewed this video (I don't recall the "reactor" that I first came upon) I read all the comments and few them pointed out that alot of those talent shows in Russia, before the show even starts, the winner has already been determined. So, along comes this kid who has so much talent that they were NOT EXPECTING. And I believe that the people pointing this out in the comments deserved alot of consideration. Notice how the judges are reacting, wanting to hit the button yet refusing too.

This "not-a-single-chair-turn-around" judging was the biggest scandal in recent history at the "Voice-Russia, Kids" singing contest. As it became obvious the judges were taking bribes for choosing young singers, and Diana was not chosen exactly because of that ! 😢 In my opinion even better than this Diana's singing was her marvelous double feature performance with Non, Je Ne Regret Rien & Jodel-Time as a guest at Moscow karaoke championship just before her first appearance on All-Russia federal TV channel at "Voice..." pseudocontest. Anyway Diana won multiple awards on another All-Rissia TV channel in NTV's You Are Super singing contest ! ❤
