If you think range ..then it's Tim storm 10 octaves largest in the world he also can hit the lowest note if your talking about the sound that comes out ...well that's down to preferable .....honestly unless your talking about so etching that has a record like range then there is no clear winner

He has been called an alien because he is able to sing 'Live" in nearly 7 octaves (highest note D8 in his whistle register) flawlessly in any Musical Style. In my opinion he is not only the best singer/performer in the world, but will go down in history as the greatest Ever! EVERY Dimash performance is an experience. When you think you've figured him out and that you can't possibly be surprised anymore, he blows you away again. Dimash is truly unique not only for his obvious vocal abilities but for his incomparable presence he puts into each performance. Talent + Charisma 10 square.

Dimash is a phenomenon, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and is finishing his masters in Composition. His range is over 6 octaves but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for professional singers in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to stardom and is now a pop superstar in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He was recently on his solo world tour and in his concerts he sings for 3 to 4 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is just turned 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album in China though. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others. He was 22 when he sang here. He turned 26 on May 24th, 2020. He becomes the song and commands the stage in every song he sings. No body movement or note is an accident. He is a story teller. I have been watching him for at least 2 years or more and I can't even say how many times I have seen him sing this song and I still get goosebumps every time. In his hometown in 2018 I believe, they wanted to honor him and play his music all day on a radio station and they couldn't because he always sings live. He didn't have enough recorded songs to play. Great reaction. I really enjoyed your analysis and commentary. As you probably already know, Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. The song “SOS” is originally from a French-Canadian musical called ‘Starmania’ from the 1970s and is considered one of the five most difficult French songs to perform. Dimash performed here at the 2017 "I AM A SINGER" competition. It is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers where the audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode. The audience is the same throughout the entire show, 500 with musical backgrounds and they judge the show by points each week. The competition consisted of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. This was the very first episode of the competition, and Dimash had to go first because he was considered the weakest given that he was completely unknown to the audience. He had been invited as a wildcard and was the first foreigner and youngest person to ever compete in the show. After this performance, he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. Dimash won the first two episodes! He also won the 6th, for his rendition of “Adagio”, a song made famous by Lara Fabian. Dimash won the first two episodes! Dimash transcends any vocalist I've ever heard; he touches your very soul and often gives chills and goosebumps to the unsuspecting. Many 'dears' started their journey with this song; then listened to every song he ever sang, watched all of his interviews and now enjoy watching others discover him in reaction videos. (Yours was great, thank you!) Ask any of them how many times they've heard this song and they'll say hundreds - at least! I enjoyed your reaction, but I am surprised that you have not reacted to more of his music. You have just scratched the surface of understanding Dimash's capabilities. Dimash is the son of professional singers and, thus, was learning to sing while in his mother's womb. Indeed, a reviewer from India made a very insightful comment that he sounds like music is his first language, and I think that could very well be true. He then began singing lessons at age 5 and has now begun his Ph.D in music. His range is 6 octaves, and he sings in many different voices, colors, and styles. Every song is different. He plays several instruments and has sung in 12 different languages. This song was in French. A lot of people recommend starting with songs he performed in a Chinese competition among professionals, which is when he first went viral in 2017. As the only non-Chinese singer, he was not allowed to win, but his first album went platinum there literally in just a few minutes. Still he is much more successful in Asia than in America, but he hopes to move to the USA soon to improve his English and truly achieve the worldwide acclaim that he deserves. Great reaction. He is the 'perfect' study subject for ALL the reasons you mentioned Aleksandra, including the way he uses his body when singing, which is why i do not understand why way more vocal coaches are not reacting to 'every thing' he does. Once in maybe a century vocalist. Who can identify another vocalist with that octave range, using them with all the skill he does, whether you like what he sings or not.You have said it all so well Aleksandra, yet it's but a handful of vocal coaches drooling over this phenomenon. boggles my mind.

I will not get tired of hearing this young man with that wonderful gift, I cannot believe that a single human being has so much in himself, passion, emotion, beautiful personality, a great heart, and a pure and unique technique. Sinful Passion is traditionally the second song for Dimash beginners. It is the ultimate performance and sets new standards in singing, and SOS is not able to prepare you for what you will experience in Sinful Passion. Look for the "no glitch" video because the one on his channel has a nasty audio glitch right at the climax. Dimash was 22 when he sang here. Listen to him 1.5 years later sing Sinful Passion and you will see that he had already improved his lower range considerably and had continued to do so until now. If you want to hear him now, I would recommend Across Endless Dimensions as a recent studio production and Samaltau as a livestream for the Tokyo Jazz Festival in May. He does not only blend classic and pop, but adds also elements of oriental and central Asian music, and nothing of it sounds wrong or out of place. He is a true fusion artist. Other favorites include (non-exhaustive list) Know, Love Is Like A Dream, Hello!, Your Love, Ogni Pietra (aka Olimpico), Opera 2, Screaming, or the unsingable Diva Dance from the movie The Fifth Element, which he perfectly nailed live during the Bastau concert. He also had an enchanting trio with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina singing Ti Amo Così, accompynied by composer Igor Krutoi on the piano and surrounded by ice skaters dancing circles around them.

He has been called an alien because he is able to sing 'Live" in nearly 7 octaves (highest note D8 in his whistle register) flawlessly in any Musical Style. In my opinion he is not only the best singer/performer in the world, but will go down in history as the greatest Ever! jack masters technically he can now but he doesn’t do that often. In drunken concubine performance, he can hit from F1 to D8, but it doesn’t mean he sings in that range. He is still improving.
