Also some of the other countries' shows go based off diction of English, as well as song choice because those genres are not as well known or oversung in those countries so it shows a uniqueness.

The reason is because they are looking for specific voices with specific sounds, cause the judges also play a roll in helping the contestants during performances once the contestant chooses a judge to lead them. Even if the contestant needs some work the judge might think they could help better the contestants vocals and provide tips and strategies. All the judges are only allowed to have a specific number of contestants to lead and coach and missing out on a good voice to have on their side could be a bad thing.

True it’s not about her but she’s a coach repeating someone’s style of what they sound like so if they choose her it’s Easier for her to help the artist. Lots of the times where the judges turn around ‘too quickly to get a feel for the singers voice’ is to obtain the highest chance of actually getting them on their team if they end up doing really well. If many judges turn around, in the end one might go “well, I turned around first” and it works in getting that contestant on your team. So, judges will take the risk and turn early if they think the singer already has potential, to obtain the highest possibility of getting them on their team.
@garywtyler6 жыл бұрын
Plus, there are a number of strategies going on. In the first rounds after the "blinds", the coaches pair up two of their own people knowing they will pick one and can let the other go (they can "save" the one they didn't choose, but saves are limited).

Those older ladies participated on the Voice Senior in the Netherlands, so that’s why they’re turning so fast

I’ve had vocal classes and I swear vocal coaches judge everything on how well you can sing high which is pretty foolish since real music is about the story in the song and how the tone matches the story, not about omg you can sing really high. Most of the greatest songs in history don’t have a single high range note in them but modern pop has created an illusion that all music needs that high range and so people like vocal coaches are focusing on that when they are completely missing the actual talent in the tone. Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Andy Black, Foo Fighters and British India all sing with out it or only use it on rare occasions not to mention FOB that were told couldn’t sing high but did anyway and did it their own way

And it’s supposed to be more fun, it is only for 50+ etc. So the Younger people have The Voice and The Voice Kids

I was looking for this comment, because I wanted to say the same thing! The voice senior was more for fun, so they turn when they can here a nice voice and they can hear the singer likes what he/she is doing! Great content it was

It's about their voice and how it sounds. Not the technique they're using at the time. Later when they get coached is when the coaches help them improve anything that they're shaky on or not comfortable with. They turn for the voice they like and the voice they want to coach and make even better.

Ironically, most of the singers sound better in their auditions than they do in subsequent performances. Not always the case, but definitely seems to be a trend in The Voice from what I've seen

I think a lot of the coaches look for not only good sound and vocals, but for uniqueness and individuality. So regardless of how strong of a voice a person may have, if they like the sound of their voice that's unlike what you normally hear - or even an arrangement of a piece that differs from the original, that is what would usually get fast turns. As long as you stand out from what is already known, you'll most likely get a turn. On another note however, I feel like in the spirit of the coaches always being in competition on the voice, the adrenaline may push them to push as fast as possible as soon as they hear something they like.

@@UnearthCreations agreed. Opera is a good example, amazing projection and complete control over every aspect. It takes years to get there and no mic needed, just good room acoustics! Heck even Mongolian singing...that is talent and skill. Master your craft and skills in all forms, test different things around it. And never stop improving. I honestly can see the future looking bad for music and classical styles and teachings dying out nearly completely...same with classical music. It's so sad really, and all that history

You need to react to MacKenzie Thomas from the latest season of The Voice. She was rejected last season, and was a one chair turn this season. She is very technically skilled (she can do as many runs as she likes and they'll sound perfect) but also invokes emotion, which is quite rare. She is the full package! /// Kennedy Holmes, a 13 year old who is incredibly talented. Honestly she is probably the best kid singer I've heard on these shows. She has elements of Whitney Houston and Beyonce in her voice and she's only 13!

Hi Tristan! The Voice Netherlands and Belgium have like a ‘senior’ version. It’s not like they get a record label or something. It’s more for people who have loved singing throughout there whole lives and never did something with it. They take this opportunity to perform on stage maybe just for one last time 😄 their stories are beautiful!
@andrewlin40036 жыл бұрын
The voice's meaning is not only to market the artist but also cultivate them to become one of a kind. Sometimes teaching process means so much more than marketing.
