What happened here was that gigi was searching for lyrics but her band started and thats why she was not able to get the que of the bad. Since she only remembered the chorus thats why she started to sing the chorus and then her band decided to mess with her by keeping the key higher and higher- according to gigi 😊

They challenged Gigi how far could she go with the modulation of the Chorus/Refrain only of the said song. So they do it as art of their job while having fun. See tghey are not even scared to commit mistakes and still keep it the recording for funs sake. But this shows the authenticity and raw skills without tamper or edits.
