What happened here was that gigi was searching for lyrics but her band started and thats why she was not able to get the que of the bad. Since she only remembered the chorus thats why she started to sing the chorus and then her band decided to mess with her by keeping the key higher and higher- according to gigi 😊

I could tell you are a very experienced singer/coach. Not too many musicians know who Eva Cassidy is. Years ago Ted Koppel, the host of ABC Nightline, did a whole episode dedicated to the memory of Eva Cassidy. The next day, ABC was inundated with phone calls with request to replay the half hour documentary of Eva Cassidy. Ted Koppel even mentioned that it was the only time they replayed an episode of Nightline. BTW, Eva Cassidy revived Chuck Brown's band popularity in the DC area.
