The Jungkook effect is actually something that even Korean media talks about, is not only about songs but to everything that he touches lol, he sells out everything that is near him from fabric softener that he mentioned smelled nice and then was basically impossible to find in more than 20 countries for about 3 months to a tea that got sold out in two hours after he drank it on a Vlive, it’s insane.

I watched this live, it was awesome - it was late at night for him, I think he streamed from like 1-2am, so he would have had a full and busy day, yet he still shared his voice with us, so few western artists allow themselves to be seen as just who they are, no artifice, no filters, and let their fans connect with them as real people, and still BTS is criticised for wearing make up and being “manufactured”, but this is no manufactured “idol”, this is a wonderful young man, sitting in his pj’s, taking requests and singing because he loves to sing and he loves Army - and he did Baepsae!!!! And he did another livestream on August 31st for his birthday (which is September 1st, but we have time differences - it was around midnight his time). That one was over two hours long, he had over 20 million concurrent viewers and over 2.5 billion likes (I watched that one too) - he even made a song from comments left during the day by Army. The popularity of this group should show anyone in the music industry how starved the general public is for authenticity, sincerity, and a real connection with artists. Western artists are not prepared to share as much of themselves with their fans, it is seen as an invasion of privacy, but BTS share so much of their lives with us, I am not saying that they share everything or that we know them completely, obviously they have some privacy, but they share enough, and have done since before debut, over eight years ago, that we feel we know them, and we can feel that they are genuine.

I actually find his past lives (where he has no microphone) to be the best when it comes to hearing his voice properly. You should look up his two Vlives (the two before this now) - they're on KZbin if you just search Jungkook Vlive and look for 2021, and you'll see him singing with no microphone, sounding like an angel. Also, I'm sure you've sensed this, but the way he barely needs a backing track or a starting note suggests he has perfect pitch.

In one of the previous vlives by JK from back in around Feb/March he was seen drinking Kombucha (a powdermixture) from Teazen, which then was sold out everywhere, had big order from overseas and just got awarded 2021 Brand of the Year. It had such a enormous impact that they decided to pay it forward and donate the profits obtained from it to society. He likes to help out small companies. So we often see him waering clothing from small companies which really helps them grow. He sells out everthing. There's a video of him as Sold Out King, but it's two years old. I didn't even know this song before Jungkook played it. He's such a talented vocalist. Sometimes he takes requests others he just shows us what he likes. All you ever know when Jungkook does a livestream is that it's going to be good.
