What's even cooler is that the sections where they're all dancing together could have been rendered as one mannequin that'd be tweaked for each of the members on screen, but if you slow the dance down, they're all individually animated. it's noticeable, because the way each character carries themselves in the dance differs, based on their body types.

Well.. that rapper is a korean girl group (G-Idle) leader. She wrote n produce her own songs and some of her group songs. And relate to her rapping skill, she participate in korean rapping competition when she's only 19, and she slay her seniors 😅. Interestingly tho she's famous with her rapping skill, her vocal also not normal. She once made her competitions (in a survival reality show) shocked at how flawless her vocal is.

Unexpected reaction. For next time, always check for subtitles just in case. This one had translations. One of the more interesting things about this song is how they blended three languages (English, Korean, and Chinese) seamlessly. Nothing was jarring and I especially loved the bridge. When you mention rapping in pocket, the first girl played with out of pocket (I'm guessing that's what it's called) in one of her group's songs. If that's something you're interested in. Also try this group's debut song, Popstars, if you haven't yet. Same vocalists minus the feature and the animation is even more insane. I THRIVE on new people hearing K/DA. It’s fantastic to hear new and more nuanced takes on them. My takes are just “oh no, oh no, I like this, I’m gonna end up addicted to this.” Because I don’t have the musical knowledge to know WHY it slaps, just THAT it slaps. League is a game I don’t play but Riot Games has this habit of dropping bangers that get me looking into the characters and lore, even though the actual gameplay isn’t my thing. Soyeon and Miyeon are amazing, Madison Beer and Jaira Burns are fantastic, and I love love love Lexie Liu. I, like many people, have conflicting feelings about the character of Seraphine, but Lexie killed it and I do *not* hold anything against her at all. Honestly, I may just be a little biased - my favorite songs usually have a minimum of 2 different languages represented, and this one has 3. I’m 100% here for it. (The song Giants also killed it with that language thing for me, lol.) I really recommend anyone who enjoyed this to go check out G-IDLE. Soyeon and Miyeon just don’t stop being awesome. I’m glad LoL music is getting the group more press, they deserve it. 💕

They put an insane amount of effort into make it feel like a legitimately real music video. LED style screens, text popping up over things... camera moves, fast zoom losing focus for a second. And the production value on the music is nuts. There is a TON going on in there. EDM samples, dub-step beats, multiple harmonies. The singers are all amazing. The rap flows beautifully and they change it up rather than sticking with the same pattern every time. And when the flow changes often the camera or environment change as well. Just incredible talent from everyone involved.

But for your confusion: they’re a virtual kpop group and an important part of the kpop culture is over the top visual and DANCING, hence the “why am I seeing animated figures dancing” confusion. They’re following a format very common in real kpop mv (begins with each of the members just singing their lines and vibin in fabulous outfits and in various scenes, then cut to a group dance scene during chorus, which we call a “killing part”) hope this helps :)
