I have seen them perform live, and I must say that each time I closed my eyes it felt like I was at at Queen concert. Totally recommend seeing The Ultimate Queen Celebration Live. I loved it.

AND LOOK at how relaxed he is on the piano .... the hands are on autopilot AND YES he sortta muddled parts of the song but he recouped VERY strongly at 8:14 . and doing the chorus was epic.

I like that unsung "of the world" at the end lol. Shows his sense of humor since Freddie never sung "of the world" after that last "we are the champions," but everyone that has heard the song in passing seems to remember it like that. lol

I literally just came back home from seeing Marc in Georgia, and it was honestly incredible. I cannot recommend seeing him and his band live enough. Also, if you haven't seen it, you should do a reaction to his cover of "I will always love you". I feel like he's the only guy to actually do that song justice.

Your reviews of all songs are the BEST in KZbin.. . Marc, in my novice opinion has the best voice in music, even when not doing queen songs.. . I predict after some time, he will branch out away from queen & Freddie Mercury's styles to forge his own style

He already HAD his own style LONG before he did Queen music. Check out his Christian rock band, "downhere," which he fronted for many years, and which won a LOT of awards. He also has some of his own music out, which you can get on his website (among other places).

Hey thanks for reviewing Marc! I saw that you noticed Marc having a different tone than the original recording in the beginning and popping up during the song. I think his voice was a bit strained this performance since he had to do a few of these Australian radio and news interviews around that time. All this to say he can definitely do even better.

In that performance, it sounds like the vocal channel is EQ'd toward bright. It really doesn't sound like any other recording I've heard him do. I notice how much it accentuates the breathy at the beginning, too.

It's not fair to say Marc brought Céline Dion to tears. She was already crying from previous singers. The program was a series of singers and songs which she says have had major impact on her life. Some of those meant a lot to her or to her and her late husband, so she was already very emotional before Marc took the stage. She is a big Queen fan, and even sings "The Show Must Go On" in her concerts (hence the "Show Must Go On" line at the end of "Somebody to Love," when he did it with her musicians and background singers). Don't look at the tears. They were already there. Look at her being a total fangirl for Marc Martel. He was on the show because she said his "Mercurotti" video deeply moved her, but I believe this was the first time she had heard him sing any other Queen song.
