Ciao, Coach. Thank you for this comprehensive reaction and analysis of Morissette's rendition of "Defying Gravity". We appreciate your efforts to put out this review, not only to recognize the immense talent of Mori but also to give us some pointers on how to do a great singing performance as shown by Mori. It's more than 26 minutes but I enjoyed every minute of it. Once again, Mori has demonstrated that she is not just a very good singer, with a beautiful voice who can hit the low and high notes, but she is a great artist and performer, a masterful story-teller, who utilizes her skills in dynamics, breath control and support, sustained belting notes, and the various colors in her voice, to deliver a world-class performance. That grand finale, if performed on a stage in a live audience, would have garnered a standing ovation! 🥰👏👏👏 By the way, did you know that "Defying Gravity" has a special place in Morissette's heart? Because this is the song she used when she auditioned for the TV "Star Factor" competition where she qualified 11 years ago, and the rest, as they say, is history.💖 I am already subbed to your channel, and am looking forward to more Mori reactions and analysis. Grazie!

Morissette's diaphragm so strong that it could probably press her own full body weight lol... While she's amazing low registers and can even sing at the level of a whisper, her belts are where she thrives (sweet spot) at the most. I haven't seen all the other performances to this song but of those that I've already seen, Morissette's version so far in my humble opinion is the best one.
@TrainingVoiceilaria2 жыл бұрын
Ciao Sleep less :) it is difficult to create an equally beautiful version of this song because the general public has the voice of idina menzel (another fabulous artist) in their ears. But Morissette created a fantastic work! As I wrote in another comment I will study this piece myself and I will also propose it to my singing students, to whom I listen to morissette to learn !!!
@sleepless96042 жыл бұрын
@@TrainingVoiceilaria Yes, i do see your point. I do hope your students would appreciate Morissette's version for its merits as well despite Idina's hold on the public's view on this particular song. I feel that in some ways, she had improved upon it. Thanks.

@TrainingVoiceilaria2 жыл бұрын
