@98765qaz cs im not saying that Morissette voice is been manipulated by some gudgets or stuff etc.. just to be sound good, cos we all knew how good and beautiful voice she has.. what im trying to explain is, the stage'session need to do some technical support to the live streaming because of the separation of the places where the singer is actually far away from the actual streamer.. and for that to be delivered as perfectly as good without any technical sound issues that may acquire,. Thats all no Auto tune or whatever its just to supply the viewers with good quality.

Her diction and enunciation are impeccable. She does add some runs and growls (which is looked down upon in theatre) however it would not be a Mori song without them.

Pesmerga Pavus agreed however in this particular song it was not written for runs, riffs and growls; however in the song She used to be Mine also covered by Morissette growls and runs are acceptable. Mostly due to the style and situation of the song like you stated previously.

Pesmerga Pavus true however that is how she makes it her own. Morissette typically does not just copy a song and sings it like the original. Most of the time her additions are awesome and sometimes (rare times) they don’t fit exactly. Regardless her rendition of Defying Gravity is the best I have heard compared to some of the Elphabas that have sung this song.

Mori is just so versatile given the fact that Broadway musical is not her comfort zone. Her usual performances are Ballads, power Belting, RnB, Pop. Mori can just simply penetrate other's territories. Given an assignment and opportunity, she can simply nail this genre. 🥰💙🇵🇭

ehhh i didnt know this song exist until Stell Ajero of SB19 sang it during their Manila concert last June 24 & 25... Then i happened to watch Ms. Lea Salonga's version and now Ms. Mori... What I find fascinating in this video is that a sound engineer and a professional voice teacher and others I might not be aware of think that she didn’t sing live here. The fascinating part is the fact that Morissette sounds so good live some people think it’s a Studio recording. It’s kinda funny to be honest. 😂

I think you are misunderstanding what we mean. ANYTIME you are listening to sound going through a microphone and especially when you hear the added reverb to the sound ... then listening to a video recording by definition is being altered and adjusted and is not live. You aren’t sitting there listening to her without a microphone .... that would be the only way you could consider their singing as not being altered in anyway without anything being added or taken away. How much it is being adjusted depends on the equipment being used and I’m not suggesting she wouldn’t doing great live without a microphone - I’m sure she would. I’m also not suggesting that they went back in and did multiple takes or that what we are hearing wasn’t what she was singing in the moment. That they are adding in effects isn’t anything negative - it is expected in this type of music. But it is important to acknowledge because many people when they try to sing do so trying to match their unmicrophoned unamplified voice to a professional with a microphone and effects and consequently they end up over singing.

Dr. Marc Reynolds I completely understand actually and I get what you’re saying. But they blatantly accused her of lip sincing to her own voice on this particular video. Morissette and others of her caliber from the Philippines don’t ever do that. To them it’s a cardinal sin and the fans/non-fans would shame them. She sang this live, sent the raw video to Stages Sessions, they then added some reverb then uploaded the final product. I appreciate your review and your time explaining.
