Haley's vocal control is absolutely insane. To come off full-blown belting to a softer quieter tone is nuts.

Fun Fact: "The Xylophone Player", Jacob Scesney, is actually a tremendously talented sax player (also plays many reed instruments) was not only from the same school as PMJ's Casey Abrams, Idyllwild Arts, but also was Haley's and Casey's introduction to Scott Bradlee and PMJ. Jacob was playing w/ PMJ and introduced Scott to his friend Casey at an LA venue residency, months after Scott moved from the East Coast to the West. Eventually, that lead to Casey introducing Scott to Haley and the rest is history. Jacob first played with Casey and Haley when they both performed at Citywalk in CA in 2013 and has since toured w/ major acts in stadium sized arenas, but still stays faithful appearing w/ his pal Casey and appearing in PMJ videos

Haley and Morgan James are probably the 2 best known and most reacted to vocalists who have performed with PMJ. However, I think several others deserve more attention than they get. Aubrey Logan, Sara Niemitz, Ariana Savalas, Jenny Lena, and Shoshanna Bean are some of my favorites. I particularly love their Andrew sisters style cover of the Spice Girls Wannabe. I think it is just wonderfully playful, with some spectacular harmonies.

I hope you noticed how they mixed up the song during the instrumental break and at the end where the tune changed to "You Don't Own Me" by Leslie Gore. Inspirational arrangement once more by Scott Bradlee.

Great reaction & analysis, I love to see how you loose it and still stay focused at the same time, giving great insights on what she's doing and how. And yes, PMJ features other great singers. I'd suggest for your next one without Haley :( PMJ's latest release, which is a cover of The Weeknd "I Can't Feel My Face" featuring the great Casey Abrams...:) - So much fun! Actually Haley and Casey are close friends since they'd been on AI on the same season (and both got kicked out for the show's shame...) and there's many recordings of both of them together, sometimes Haley singing while Casey works the bass or piano or guitar (great multi instrumentalist), sometimes singing duets... - But in this new PMJ it's Casey only singing (and delivering a great show...). Another tremendous talent who has performed with PMJ is Miche Braden (pronounced Mickey). Her most recent I believe is "Old Town Road." Check out "Sweet Child of Mine," "Story of My Life," and "Living on a Prayer, " all with PMJ.

haley reinhart is by far my favorite vocalist in postmodern jukebox and probably my favorite vocalist ever. however, morgan james would be my second in pmj with her cover of "dream on" here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6KXfHRmorqheZo. it's a superb performance by morgan and the band especially the strings ( the guy on the cello is amazing). robyrn adele anderson would be my third with pmj. she was critical to the early success of pmj and was lead vocal on their first viral breakout that convinced scott bradlee (the creator of pmj) that this could be much more than a hobby. it is "we can't stop" and is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pom8iHeqjcd1eJI... it was number one viewed performance at pmj until it was surpassed by "creep" a couple of years later

Funny, I had to watch Haley's performance 4 times before I noticed the guy coming in and out. I now see him as a distracti0on to the performance of the entire group. I cannot believe how much attention his movements get from reactions when the sound he produces is such a small part of the whole.

@@agwyvern Eagle eyed PMJ fans would notice that Haley's first appearance w/ PMJ was not her PMJ debut in their cover of Tove Lo's "Habits" but in fact Haley first appeared in Casey's PMJ video of "Stacy's Mom" , in which Haley can be seen swaying in the back ground sitting on the bar w/ her back to the camera :) Nice bit of PMJ trivia

Love your reactions...very nice and informative. I noticed your collection of guitars...have you ever reacted to MARCIN, a 20-year old from Poland. Truly, the best guitarist ever to exist on this planet !!! He has a large playlist, but I would suggest "Still D.R.E.", only because it highlights his comprehensive skills, but he has so many options to view.

Actually, the other PMJ vocalist suck in comparison to Haley. Stick with Haley and do "Seven Nation Army" and "Oops, I Did It Again" next instead. Why? Because both of those will blow you and your subscribers away. Also another cover is Haley's rendition of "Habits". In fact, her rendition of "Habits" is currently going viral on Tik Tok. Not to mention that Haley's music videos with PMJ relative to all the other vocalists have by far the most KZbin views. Why? Obviously because she by far the best of the best. In fact, Haley is the best thing that ever happened to PMJ. As before Haley arrived on the scene to perform with PMJ, all PMJ played was cheap dives and tiny venues. Then shortly after Haley arrived on the scene and quickly recorded several music videos that all went viral, suddenly PMJ found themselves playing coliseums and arenas.
