Nice Analysis, Haley says she loves slipping into character when she performs with PMJ. I think her time touring the US, Europe & Australia with veterans like Morgan James & Ariana Savalas gave her the opportunity to refine her presentation, only 5’2” but owns the stage. Haley is one of the greatest vocalists anywhere. Her voice is incredible and she can adapt it to almost any song. When it comes to singing jazz and blues she is world class. I would love to see her on tour with a good jazz band.

Definitely a sultry throw back to the older days, and very well done! In those days instruments and vocals were played to evoke emotion, not just shredding notes. I can't say I would listen often to this music, but I certainly can appreciate it when accomplished so well!

Love how they can take almost any song and give it their own unique style. They used to have another singer, Robyn Adele Anderson. Always loved that Cab Calloway/Duke Ellington/Count Basie swing sound, even Django's gypsy swing, and watching Postmodern Jukebox introduced me to the modern/neo-swing artists like Parov Stelar.

Great reaction, I love your insights, thank you. We all known Hailey is amazing and she cannot be praised enough. However, one thing that I feel gets overshadowed by her greatness is the quality of the compositions by Scott Bradley. Which is why I appreciate you remarking on the arrangement. Scott must research or just have a great knowledge of all these styles since all of them feel very authentic to the times.

great reaction bob... haley reinhart really is jessica rabbit here... it's crazy how she completely embodies the music and new orleans "dirge" vintage time period so well in this sort of symbiotic relationship that is so authentic and rare. the band and arrangement are excellent but she really brings it to life. in addition to her unique stunning vocals, she even becomes another instrument towards the end with the relentless scatting. when i briefly met her last spring, i was surprised how petite and soft spoken she is in person with how big a presence she puts on stage... truly amazing
