I'm a Pinoy who grew up here in the Philippines, and we love genres that lean towards rhythm and blues and ballads. We also love hip-hop, pop, and alternative music. Even U.S. country music is a big thing here. Hahaha. Actually, it really depends on the period. There was a period when we loved rap because rap was a thing at that time. Regine's version of "Shine" is one of my favorites among her repertoire of songs. There are numerous performances available but she has one of the most recent back in 2020 sung live. Belting out those high notes while seated is just plain awesome! Her rendition of "Araw Gabi" on the Wishbus is also a masterpiece! She does have a "cheat sheet" again but it doesn't diminish her singing whatsoever.

I watched the performance of 98 Degrees in the Philippines where Nick Lachey seemed quite arrogant and showy.
