Ikrr Idk why her voice is compared so much though. Sure she ofcourse is influenced by other artists but her voice is completely different. If I hear her voice in a crowd of all these singers they compare her to, I can immediately tell it's hers. I think it's because they haven't heard enough of her voice... so maybe that's why they can't tell apart yet. But true her voice is really unique. (The most strangest has to be Billie cause Billie is literally younger than Sabrina and became famous much later than Sabrina.)

The worst part about this comparison is that at first, most of Sabrina's ones were from the Elle show where artists don't really try to sing AS perfectly as they usually would since it's a game to just get the word in the song u are singing. Whereas Olvia's ones were mostly from actual performances. So like this makes the comparison a bit unfair. And so like most of the comparisons were like performance (where singers give it all) against normal fun singing (where u don't reveal most of your talent usually). it would be fairer if u either compare their actual performances or music videos

This is focusing on vocal abilities, but no matter what, I'm sick of the media pitting these two against each other & oftentimes milking it for views/likes/public engagement. Many times when they are brought up together, there are undertones of a competition between them where the public wants to have one girl come up on top of the other & this mostly stems from the media portraying these girls as having to compete for some guy's attention/affection. Their worth is far more than that. I'm sick of it, I hope that at least for awhile, people avoid pitting one against the other in any public/media setting, especially knowing that there are implications that goes beyond an attention-grabbing headline/increase in views, etc. People are quick to jump on it and they can get so critical. I hope the media can try to NOT carry it over to 2022 to give them space to ease away from this set up please ❤🙏

sabrina’s has a very unique voice in my opinion. it’s very smooth and angelic. i also love her lower register. she’s a powerhouse. i believe she’s said she has 4-5 octave range. just goes to show that she’s amazing and really works hard at improving herself.

Many of the people they compare Sabrina with weren't even in the music industry when she was. Like take Billie for example. She is younger than Sabrina and came much later in the industry. Both women are talented songwriters, but Sabrina has better vocal control, which helps her live performances. Olivia has a pretty voice, but her breathy singing often holds her back, especially live. With some coaching, she can strengthen her breath support and vocal control, and reach higher notes with ease. She doesn’t have the breath support to get through a full song onstage when she’s dancing or moving around. For Olivia, the raw talent is definitely there, but just needs refining. I’m excited to watch both of their careers and I really enjoy their music.

Both are talented, I think the big difference is that Sabrina has more technique and vocal range in both the low and high main head voice, while Olivia has a beautiful timbre but doesn't have as much versatility in terms of vocal ability, but I think that She's just starting out, Sabrina is more experienced, which just shows how unfair she is, she deserved much more recognition... but anyway, they both have beautiful voices, but preference will depend on each person's personal taste.

Just an observation, Sabrina certainly has influences and they are all great, but she doesn't try to sound like anyone else, she just uses vocal elements that many talented artists use, but her timbre is very different and if you follow her work you will see which is really her thing, and despite that, she always has her identity, this is very noticeable in the cover she did of Taylor's song, it was totally her personal style, while Olivia, in addition to having a different timbre, doesn't makes super pop songs and doesn't use as many diverse vocal elements, so that's why it seems more "original". technique wise i think it's definitely sabrina. but there were times that I don't really like her singing bcs idk she sounded like she was pushing too much(?) olivia on the other hand i feel like don't try to deviate too much from how she usually sings but her cursive singing sometimes limits her and makes her strain her voice. and i just can't get into the cursive style, although her songs are really good and i still listen to some of them.

I think both are fairly good vocalists. We've seen more from Sabrina, I'd say she's who I'd prefer to listen too. Both are still extremely young and still experimenting, both have bright futures. It's a shame they've been pitted against each other, a shame that Olivia might be stumped by her immaturity and bitterness but I can only hope she grows to become a better person and artist, the potential is there but I, currently, cannot stand her. Sabrina, I've been a huge fan of her for years now. I feel terrible for the hate that she's received but she really showed how personable and sweet/kind her character is and I hope she continues to flourish, hope she's never attacked for things outside her control ever again. Sab, honestly, seems older than her age. You can tell she's been taught well, she's very empathetic and positive. Her stans are such beautiful people too. Sabrina is quite open about how much she looks up to certain artists, there is a mix in there where you can tell she's learnt from different people and applied it to her own artistry. But she's really come into herself, you can tell she's one of those singers who likes to play around. Her new album, I think it's coming next year, should show more of her growth. Those clips where you commented on how young she sounds, she was like 14 there and so, yes, she would've been advised to sound higher and sweeter for Disney but she was also underdeveloped, she was a child. You can look back at her old covers on KZbin from when she was 9, she's been training from a young age and it shows.

I love them both and I think Olivia is actually the better singer (despite probably being a bigger fan of Sabrina’s music), however the cursive singing from Olivia as well as excessive cry on the spoken word sections of pretty much all of her songs becomes irritating if you listen to too many songs of hers in a row, however I cannot stop listening to Sabrina’s entire discography on a loop because she has so much more dimension and versatility as a singer AND as a performer! Sabrina needs to work on her vibrato (personal opinion as a singer myself) and Olivia needs to work on low notes and variety in her vocals. So both have their strengths and their weaknesses.
