This was done BEFORE pitch correction software was a thing. This is 100% "real", "human" and amazing.

There are a lot of great musicians that got looked over because they were classified as "hair metal". Not every band was Poison or Motley Crue. Some had actual talent.
@Aymungoos Жыл бұрын
It's a shame that some of the hair metal bands had so much talent that they themselves decided not to use just so they could shovel out generic popular music. It really irks me that we never got to hear how amazing some of these vocalists and musicians were on songs with some actual soul put into them. Another example would be comparing Vivian Campbell from his time in DIO vs Def Leppard

Milijenko said that he chewed gum while singing to help keep his throat moist which helped him hit those high notes.

Matijevic was involved in a serious accident in 1992 in Denver. Matijevic decided to climb a lighting truss which was for some reason improperly secured. He failed to climb the rig and failed to dodge the 1000 pound piece of equipment, which hit him in the back of the head, driving him face first into the stage. The outcome of the accident was a broken nose, cheekbone, jaw, twisted spine, and severe memory loss.

The studio version is better. Other songs to check out by Steelheart are "I'll Never Let You Go", "Can't Stop Me Loving You" and "Everybody Loves Eileen". And if you want to shed a tear, "Mama Don't You Cry". The children's choir really hits. (again, studio version)

Please listen to Savatage - When the crowds are gone. Live or not. And if you want a real true voice try listen to Johnny Gioeli from Axel rudi Pell, or ARP, great band that focus little to much on Guitarr, but still Johhny got a true 80s voice.

The thing I love about this unplugged performance is you can hear the subtle flaws in his singing that do not appear to be flaws. This is one of the reasons I hate CD format music. When you go digital you lose some of that organic feel to the vocals and instruments. When you have a singer of this caliber you want to hear those subtle variations. It shows how much of a master they truly are.

I've never been a big Steelheart fan, after listening to one or two of their songs, his high notes to me get annoying cause almost every song is the same way, extreme high notes, to me it feels it's all about the high notes and nevermind the rest of the song. I'm not sure if you understand what i mean. It's hard to explain, but i loved your reaction and diving into his voice cause he does have a really good voice
