Just found this video. Never knew you analyzed Dane's vocals. This is my favorite band. His vocals were what got me trying to learn how to do proper harsh vocals. A couple of years later and I've done vocal covers for about 17 of their songs lol. I'm no Dane, but, damn, their songs are so fun to scream to 🤘🐻🤘

There’s a band called Beyond Deviation who’s vocalist hits a whistle tone scream that’s very very close to that effect. There’s a video of him doing in studio with no effects. It’s almost possible to hit that though

Dude I just recently saw them with Carnifex, Signs of the Swarm, The Last 10 Seconds of Life and Errors of Humanity (if you haven't heard of Errors of Humanity, I recommend their track Honor Killing. It's so good) but I got to see To The Grave up in the front row and I actually got Dane Evans to sign my shirt! He was such a nice guy and they fuckin tore it up on their first US tour!
