D-Low's something of a beatbox legend at this point. He judges more competitions than he competes in now, as he hasn't lost a competition in years. awesome! So again I'm gonna push you to react to MB14 live at La Cup. He's the best pure vocal looper. He has a great operatic voice and has the perfect pitch since he was young. He just uses some reverb here and there, otherwise pure vocal performance. You'll love it!!

Pleaaaaaase do MB14 LA Cup. We need an army to up vote this
@thothtahuti5509 Жыл бұрын
He's great.... however I don't think looping compares to "live vocals" in terms of skill, like if you play 1 note or cord on a piano at a time you could play anything with a looper and computers by arranging... Bach, Chopin, even pieces like Rush E are all very doable without much skill with the piano. Yet playing it flawlessly, in 1 try, on the spot is (to me) faar more impressive... but yeah, MB14 is legit, I don't mean to hate :)
@ScribblyDoodle Жыл бұрын
@@thothtahuti5509 but his looping IS live skill. Have you listened to his la cup showcase? His vocal control is phenomenal. I think it's equally impressive from pure solo beatboxing, but just a different expression of the artform. This is especially true with MB14 because he uses so few looping effects and relies mostly on 'pure' vocal effects. As a singer, I think the fairy voice mother would get a lot from that performance. His sitar is absolutely mindblowingly accurate.

I'm not you, FVM, you're incredible in your knowledge when breaking down things this... involved & multifaceted, but I do sing a little, am a male, and have messed around with a very little of this- that SEEMS to be a part of what he's doing, and it gives him impeccable control... some of it even reminds me a bit of ventriloquism for some reason.. maybe the multi-note aspect? Either way, the guy is incredible... except.. uh... I kept expecting Johnny Gringo to show up, and for him to say, "I'm your Huckleberry". Maybe he should do a beat session as Doc... see if y'all get my reference here, lol.
