I didn't realize it was something singers did on purpose until another vocal coach pointed it out. As far as I know she has no musical training. I don't know why, but it just feels natural and organic coming from her. It's just her being herself, and I think that's why so many people love her.

She's incredible, 19 from Vic - Australia & up until about 6 months ago was a busker , shes never had a lesson in any regard- this song in particular was about someone who robbed her one night busking and the crowd just keep pushing her to keep performing hence the "dance monkey "- check out her video from splendour in the grass 2019 , she's so much more at ease and so comfortable and her crowd vibe is insannnee!

Her voice is Just amazing. I've heard the song a millón times on the radio, it is a hit in Latín América. And I liked it but I was convinced her voice was super autotuned to add the song a weird style. But then I started watching her live performances and I was so shooked to know that was her real voice. She's pure talent.

I've watched many KZbinrs review this. This is the first time I found myself kind of getting into it. I kind of think that her weird pronunciation of the word "time" helps her with her bright tone in her voice. Raising the whole tongue like that gives you a brighter tone.

This isn't true. She explains the song herself in a video. It's "time" and the d sound is just a part of her singing. She replaced sing with dance so it wasn't so personal and used things that people said to her when she was performing. That line in particular is about people wanting her to perform again and again even when she didn't want to. Hence "dance (sing) just one more time" e.t.c
