Today, I did not miss your Live reaction! Hello Richard & Johnny, so nice to see you here today! I was up at 3:00 am (Toronto) to catch this premier in Istanbul at 12:30 pm, local time. Turned out I could not sleep at all. Thank you for taking the time for Dimash! There is a US Fan Club in US for Dimash. They Posted a huge bill board in time Square yesterday, on the eve of the premiere! He just does not get played on the Radio in the US or Canada for that matter, which is a shame. I love John Reed, I subscribe to him as well. He’s a real gem and gets weepy very easily, 😂 I’ve seen him turn on the faucets a few times listening to Dimash! Please make sure there’s a couple of boxes of tissues for John and yourself! 😂 Thank you, you guys are the best! 🤩👍👏❤️🇨🇦

Not much is known about his private life, he does not appear often in the media and does not give particularly personal interviews. His backing band is the perfect fit for him. For those who don't know: At the age of 5, Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country, Kazakhstan. He's 29 years old now. He is currently writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, he received all his degrees with honors. He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year, all while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career. Two long time favorites of his are "Michael Jackson" and "Queen".

I love the whole vampire theme. Doesn't the intro sound like the intro to Prince's "The Question of U" but with a slower tempo? That was right away my first impression. I love the arrangement. And yes, the melody feels like it's more universal... likeit's meant to attract fans from other genres. Dimash is a genius! A great storyteller and paradigm breaker! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing... The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone! The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! I like that - range is nothing without skill and artistry. To me, Dimash IS music - Music In Human Form. But he's proving himself to be an excellent actor. He can act with his EYES. Many actors can deliver lines convincingly but you don't see the emotion in their eyes. In Dimash's eyes, you can see so much. There really is nothing this man can't do.

Within the Opera's context, the lyrics speak of two female friends going to a gently flowing river, amongst lots of flowers and birds, and peacefully enjoy the time there (very broadly summarized). So, basically, the complete opposite of dark, scary, steamy vampire dreams 😅 I wonder why this aria -of all!- was chosen to be played 🤔 but probably just because of it's sheer beauty🤷‍♀

But the second is something completely different and even brings him new fans. (And acts as a funnel to his channel and brings him revenue) Companies pay lots of money TO influencers to get exposure. I so enjoy your reactions to our Dimash. You both can really appreciate his artistry and magic and bring insightful commentary. I have to say...I love his beauty and light....but sometimes a little playing with the edge of darkness is quite delicious. Dimash is more worldly now and just entering his 30's he's probably going to take some mature ventures. But we know he's got boundaries, taste and remains Capt of his ship. Its fun. Its sexy. MJ did the Zombie thing. And his Bad album that was a shocker. It's ok. It's theater. He is a beautiful young man, and smoldering hot 🔥insanely talented and artistically free. When I first heard this in the early hours of the morning, completely blew my socks off. What a shot over the top to rock and pop music. Watch out MTV, Grammy's and the American Music Awards. This Dimash piece is sending out shock waves in the music industry. Reminds me of the theatrical performances of the late Freddy Mercury.
