What a rare pleasure to see a reaction to Esang. Thank you ! IMO, she is the most promising filipino kid in recent years. She was born on February 12, 2007 into a family of singers. And of course, she sang a few songs with her dad. This video in the Wish bus was recorded immediately after the The Voice Kids season 2015, where she was ranked 3rd (Sassa 13 yo, by her side, was 4th). So, here Esang was exactly 8 years and 5 months old. Lea Salonga, who was her coach on The Voice Kids, called Esang "My mini me". It's true, Esang is almost a Lea's clone. Of course, later, they sang together. Two years ago, Esang was noticed in the contest "Your face sounds familiar", especialy by imitating Liza Minelli in "New York, New York", for which she was ranked 1st, in front of the TNT Boys. One of them, Mackie, fell in love with Esang... and since then they formed an adorable "couple". Everyone calls them "Kiesang". So cute ! Esang is 12 years old today. Her voice has matured. Her repertoire is divided between musical and socially engaged songs. Also to answer some of your question. To be able to release your own song or even to become famous singer in the Philippines is one of the most difficult thing to do. This is because of the huge amount of amateur singers who can rival even the most professional American Artist. A lot of Filipino singers start at early age, they enter a lot of singing competitions which is a natural path for a singer here in order to get a break. This is how they harness their talent aside from a nightly karaoke at home.

Filipinos are technically from Malay race we actually have similar language but with regional variation. Salamat means thank you in both Malay and Filipino. These singers on the bus are random sometimes celebrities and sometimes picked up from the streets mostly Manila Philippines but invites foreign singers too just to have a good gig. The girl next to her was sasa dagdag who compete in the voice. Unfortunately she placed as a runner up only, so she compete in the clash in GMA to continue her journey. I think she was very underrated in the Philippines because her voice was labeled as international. And sometimes her voice were mixed of international and she's grown up and learned a lot in the clash specially her current performance "Proud Mary" in the clash.
