This song is in Sindhi language and depicts a very old story.The story is based on a folktale from Sindh, Pakistan, called "Umar Marvi." It revolves around a village girl named Marvi, belonging to the Phanwar tribe, who resists the advances of a powerful king named Umar and the allure of living in the palace as his queen. Instead, she chooses to remain in her simple rural environment, staying true to her village. King Umar was deeply in love with Marvi due to her exceptional beauty. However, he forcefully took her and desired to marry her. He imprisoned her in his castle called Umerkot in Sindh. Marvi, being a woman of great integrity and honor, refused the king's offer, even though he promised to grant her every desire. She steadfastly denied everything and even went on a hunger strike while locked up. She declared that she would rather die than be disloyal. Ultimately, the king had to give in to her unwavering loyalty. He released her and respectfully sent her back to her village, where she was hailed as a heroine. This remarkable story is depicted in the song "Aayi Aayi," where Marvi finally enjoy a simple meal at home. The peacock in the song symbolizes this act, while the dolphins represent the majestic Indus River (Sindh).

The song 'Aayi Aayi', meaning 'Here She Comes!', is related to the Sindhi folklore Umar Marvi. Umar, the king, wanted Mzrvi but Marvi had no interest in him. Umar then kidnapped and imprisoned Marvi. Marvi refused to relent and eventually after years Umar released her. Upon Marvi's arrival to her village, village people then sang this song to welcome her back. This is symbolic as a reference to resistance of a weak against the corrupt might and power.

This song is about Umar Marvi folktale from Sindh, Pakistan about a village girl Marvi, who resists the overtures of a powerful King the then-ruler of Amarkot, Umar Soomro, who wanted to marry her because of her beauty. Upon her refusal, she was imprisoned in the historic Amarkot Fort for several years. Then she was victorious and returned to her village, and the village is welcoming her. TAT means, make lacework by knotting or looping. To tat is to make lace. Tatting involves making loops and tying knots in a long piece of thread over and over again.
