The first time the world heard Angelina sing. The world has waited for every new song she releases ever since. To say she is special doesn't go close to describing the effect she has on us every time she sings. “When I sing I go to another world. The world is endless. It's like, full of happiness. I love it. It's amazing. And when I am on stage, I don't want to leave. I just want to be on stage" - Angelina Jordan.

You saw her mother wiping away some tears near the end of this song. Someone asked her why she was crying. She said: “that’s when I knew I lost her to the world.” It’s clear that her mother didn’t lose her, but the world has been given an amazing gift.

Actually her grandmother was a child prodigy herself in poetry and art, and she was the one who played jazz around Angelina which inspired Angelina to love jazz. But, her extended family did provide the environment where Angelina could cultivate her passion and artistry. Very unusual in the case of most children whose parents push them, she was allowed to push herself.

It was her Grandma, Iranian artist Mery Zamani, who introduced her to Jazz and Billy Holiday. She always was inspiration and empowering. She creates her style with her, paintings videos etc. You can see her at the end of this video, when they are leaving. Angelina sang about her in a part her version of "Rehab" where she changed the lyrics. She calls her "her other half" So yes, her family is her "Shield" (original song). And Asia: without having had that, you finally have become such a great person! Be proud! Love&respect!

Guys, that was the official beginning of a career destined to be something like none of us have ever seen before. I've seen this at least 2 or 300 hundred times already and the part that really tugs at my heart is when they show mom backstage looking at Angelina singing on a monitor. Can you begin to imagine what's going through her mind!? She has been quoted as saying she was crying because she knew she was losing her daughter to the world. I can understand that but what I feel is how proud she must of been. You have to believe she was a nervous wreck before she started singing. But, once she was in her comfort zone, Angelina was basically telling mom, "nothing to worry about, I got this!" But, talk about a proud mommy! And, how about grandma in the audience? She was the head cheerleader and i'll bet she was the one who made many of those posters. I did hear what you said, Asia. You can be an inspiration for all those kids who think the deck is stacked against them or, they're not getting the support the need to rely on. Do your thing and don't let anything mess you up. Right, Asia? Hey look. Look what Angelina said in the video at 7 years old. She wanted to be a superstar. She had a dream. Grant you, she's been blessed with a wonderful family but because of her strong desire she got her family to believe in her. If kids can't find that support at home, Asia, what would you recommend they do? Let us know in an upcoming video. I think you can be a great help to some kids struggling out there .

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Audions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZbin before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Glommy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ✌😎✌💯 *AJ* 💯🎙

What started the public journey. It started much earlier, of course. But this blew me away when I first saw it. Jazz. And Billie Holiday who was known to have introduced new vocal sound to jazz. She is 7 years old at this first audition. And she had been begging to be on the show since 3 years old. She tried at 5, but was too young to apply. I hear you, Asia, about never having had the nurturing Mom and Dad (and involved grandparents). It is part of my fascination with Angelina and her progress. This song was written by a Hungarian composer (?), but made famous by Billie Holliday. (Check Wikipedia). It was known as the suicide song. She's really in touch with that greater reality of which we all are a partl Thank you for checking out how the public journey began. Do the other 3 songs, too, at you convenience. 💜

Since then she has worked to raise millions of dollars on behalf of environmental causes and children's charities around the world. Angelinas choice of this song is way beyond her years. When one of the judges ask her what this song is about, she answers in a way that a child would do, while the song itself (look up the lyrics) is about a woman that has lost her dear one and think of ending her own life to follow him. Angelinas performance is done without the most disturbing part of the lyrics. A sad song, a really gloomy Sunday, indeed.

I think, for Angelina, jazz is like another language, learned from birth. I think she was born with a predisposition to absorb music in its entirety, into a nurturing home of jazz enthusiasts so she was surrounded by love, by stability, and by jazz. The result is nothing short of amazing…her natural leaning towards music was fed by what she heard. That’s why she’s never nervous…jazz and really all singing is just what she does. It’s who she is. In an interview her mom said that she cried at that moment because she fully realized that this was the moment she 'lost' her daughter to the world, i.e. that it would never be the same again.

(PS) Hi you 2 again, Here's some info. What Angie said about “Gloomy Sunday" choice “The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but “Gloomy Sunday “ was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad, where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZbin before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song “Gloomy Sunday” that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song.” (Sara, Angie's mom was asked what she thought when she saw her on the screen backstage, (she was wiping her tears when watching) I knew I had just lost my little girl to the world ) The family has always been very close & since that even more protective of her from the entertainment industry’s vultures & hyena's.

She was actually 7 here but 8 by the time the show was over. One of the judges said they thought it might have been a fluke, then they saw her take charge of the room during rehearsal and knew she was the real deal. Ok next should be her other 3 songs in order on Norway's Got Talent 2014 at 7 and 8 years old. I'm a Fool to Want You, Bang Bang and Summertime. Notice how much she improves in just a couple of months. When you have time she has 3 songs at 6 years old worth seeing.

albert What you're referring to is from an interview with Omer Bhatti, the young male judge. He said that after her performance, the judges were discussing whether she was merely a talented mimic. After they saw her at rehearsal later giving instructions to the musician accompanying her and taking command of the stage, they knew she was a truly genuine talent.

On America's got talent, she said she was three when she wanted to sing for Simon. Four years after she said it at age 7, she appears on Norwieghs Got Talent. And wins! Then 6 yeas after she wins, she makes it on America's got talent, in front of Simon. That is how you set goals and achieve your dreams.

I think you can see her mother, grandmother, and little sister in the front row at the end of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in America's Got Talent. Thanks for your reaction!

AJ auditioned for the show singing I'm a Fool to Want You acapella before singing Gloomy Sunday later. It's even better than Gloomy Sunday. There is also a video of her recording this song for her album.

Fun fact, the first judge is Omer Bhatti, a Norwegian artist that spent a lot of his childhood on Neverland. MJ treated him as a son, and he is still consithered as a part of the family. There was a lot of speculations about him being MJs son, but it was just a rumor, even though they look a lot the same. If you look him up on youtube you will see he have danced a lot with MJ. Her line from there to Quincy Jones and "Heal The World" was in place that already :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3Sclpt7obKBbsU

Omer, who idolized Michael as a child, said he and his parents met the music icon in Tunisia in 1996. They met when Omer did a contest impersonating Michael Jackson in Europe, and Michael saw it and was blown away and got in contact with the family. When Prince was born, Omer's mother was hired to be Prince's nanny and his father was hired as a driver. He went on to live with Jackson at his Neverland Ranch and went on tours with him. He alternated living at Neverland Ranch and Norway. Michael was a father figure and mentor to him, according to Omer.

Asia and BJ, enjoyed this reaction, enjoy all of them, thank you so much for doing them. I don't know if you read comments, especially for old reviews but wanted to say I agree with Asia that the band was a little overpowering on the version pf 'IT'S A MAN'S WORLD" you reviewed. It was after all recorded on a cellphone so...... There is another version, just audio named - It's a Man's World, Live (audio) from Kongsberg Jazz Festival 2018-. It's a very clean version allowing her voice to shine through, and there is a spectacular guitar solo at the end. Well worth a listen I think. Thank you again for the reaction videos, I am addicted! Stay safe and have a wonderful day.
