Ms Victoria, I have watched thousands of voice tutorials on youtube and ended up feeling frustrated. Then I discovered your channel. Just after two weeks, I saw a huge improvement in my singing. My main problems were breath support, resonance and weak mixed voice. Now I can sing more relaxed and beautiful. You are a wonderful teacher with full of passion for music and for people like me. Thank you! 🙏 ♥

Exercise 1 blew my mind - the fingers pulling on the throat to 'force' relaxation worked for me. I was carrying a ton of tension in my throat but didn't know it. I recorded myself before and after this and could vividly hear the difference, particularly in my mix. After playing with the exercises and building a habit, simply putting my hands near my neck somehow helped me remember that relaxed feeling without having to press.

I cannot tell you how much this helped me. For weeks I’ve been trying to sound less strained, thought I was doing everything right but wasn’t seeing any improvement. I had NO IDEA how much tension I was carrying in my throat and am singing with so much more ease after just 10 minutes. THANK YOU!

If you get tight, sure, doing the exercises for a few minutes before you sing is good and then repeating them if you get tight in your practice.

Can we do it, 3 fingers, while singing onstage?
@Victoria-Victorious3 жыл бұрын
No! 😊 You build it into your practice, going back and forth - 3 fingers on, then off.
@tsejenny5152 жыл бұрын
For tight throat, it was suggested to press on sides of throat by 3 fingers in the video. I wonder how firm should i press on the sides of throat? So firm that my throat is restricted from going upward and my throat muscles from getting tense?
@Victoria-Victorious2 жыл бұрын
It is very little pressure - just enough to stretch wider and a bit deeper to counteract the throat squeezing in and the larynx jumping up. Think of it more as a stretch rather than pressing firmly.
