it sounds fine... its like cevio with slightly less engine noise... i just hope that they update some older voicebanks tbh.

Not gonna get it this time. Props for Internet Co. for being the only big company not to jump ship from Yamaha though. Synth V, adopted AHS, and Crypton said peace out homies. I think Vocaloid is still on the path to dying, but it's left its mark. We're still gonna see people calling vocalsynths as a whole Vocaloids, even if they're for different engines. We shall seeeeeee~

@@KalfinaP new vocaloid songs and art are created daily. Daily. The western fandom is not the 100% presentation of Vocal synths so vocaloid is and has not been dying at all

@@_Rhatsody Ah, I said that wrong. What I mean is like, lack of new voicebanks and prioritization is making Vocaloid less enticing. I agree that their existing popularity will stay, since Miku, Gumi, Fukase, etc. are continually creating song content/recognition, but if they aren't already established, brand new voicebanks aren't necessarily automatically assumed to be Vocaloids, like they were on V3/V4 Era. There's a lot more variety and competition now, and Vocaloid as a software isn't the head of the pack. Unless they do something major, something like Synthesizer V or Cevio will become the 'new Vocaloid'.

I'm a little disappointed that she doesn't include an English VB out of the box, but that said, Gumi still has one of the better voices for English imo. Desptie my lack of experience (I have two delisted covers I made in V3 more 8 years ago now), this dropped right when I was attempting to make my first new cover in years, and seeing as I had just finished the lyrics, I bought her since Gumi has always been my favorite. Even if it's much more difficult to adapt than had I bought a SynthV English VB, I'm excited to give her a try. IMO she does sound really good in the full songs I've heard from her already now

All AI vbs have multilingual capabilities! So far there is only jp and eng (chi is being worked on at the moment iirc)

All 4 voices can sing in japanese and english. I dont know what GUMI is capable of. but her website should show.

@@Rinkutsu the website only shows this under supported languages: "Japanese(mother tongue) * The language that can be pronounced depends on the specifications of the Editor." And the English Internet Co. website doesn't even show anything beside V3 Megpoid English, and I can't navigate their Japanese site well. She's listed under the English tag for filtering on Vocaloid's website still and having had her a few hrs now, I can say she does accept English phonemes and seems decent, but some phonemes don't come out as expected for an English VB. It's a bit annoying that both Yamaha and Internet Co. lack any consistency or clarity on this

So, vocaloid 6 kinda stink. The vocal changer is very iffy expecially with stem extracted vocals that have a tone of reverb. The gumi ai from what I tested is horrid with vocal changer. Her v3 sounds cleaner in the v4 engine. The vbs at least the trial banks dont sound as clear as the free ai synth v voices. Even compairing Alen as the best vocaloid 6 trial voice. The v6 engine doesnt sound as refined as synth v . Since, it cant do transitions as nicely as synth v. But, vocaloid 6 did learn from vocaloid 5 train wreck. An improve on many things. But, the price of the v6 editor is a bit much. Either the engine or voice price needs to drop a bit. Since, less voice work and user work from the company is needed to make the voices . I can see both good and bad coming from the pricing and quality of this engine. That could push away long term and potential new comers.

they need vocaloid lite which buy the engine and just buy one voice bank. It gumi plus the engine just too expensive for most people. Yamaha just does not get the English market is mostly amateurs. for me v6 just too expensive. I thinking about synthv. I in market because my last computer when kaputt. I hate Yamaha does not allow you install it new computer and it going to hard to unregistered it form a dead computer.

honestly i have a feeling this is gonna flop the same as V5 did. it seems like v5 just with AI and a new gumi slapped on. the v3 and v4 banks also sound just like how they would on another version. also i don't know why they dropped cyber diva and cyber songman because imo they sound way better and are more well known and liked than the new default banks that nobody really cares about lol

the main thing V6 has going for it is its Vocalo Changer feature which makes it better than V5 just from that alone. I do agree about the sillynes sof dropping Cyber Diva & Songman but u can import them to the editor. Hopefully they get AI updates

if do not offer a lite version of it, It might flop. synthv with pro version of engine plus voice bank is 170.

As far as I can tell, Vocaloid or not, the English side of things is pretty chalked. Lots of people don't see it that way because they only care about making EDM with the said voices but in a rock/metal mix, there's a strong disconnect between what the companies think rock/metal producers want and what actual rock/metal producers (such as myself) want. They're still convinced a good rock vocal is a male vocal when in reality, a good rock/metal singer is hard to come by BECAUSE they have to sing so high and the entire scene is pretty male dominant and they all have to try and hit all the soprano notes that a female bank can give a powerful tone through with minimal effort, and because with male singers that's already their head voice they have to try twice as hard to give off the really high notes, and that's not very realistic out of any male vocal synth bank. If anything, a good rock/metal English vocal should be another V4 Flower but English.

@@_Rhatsody You did say something about the English libraries getting better with Solaria and all but I disagree. Solaria has a tone that cuts through but then you run into problems like half her parameters not working.

cause she sounds awful doing it. high range voices sound good in the high ranger. shes not a high range vocal

@@_Rhatsody By that logic there wouldn't be a single loid that would sound "good" that high and there wouldn't be such a thing as a high range vocal, because as far as I could tell I've heard this exact complaint many a time out of every loid under the sun. I've written a number of songs with her singing high ranges and to me she sounded just fine (she sounds rather powerful when singing that high, which is exactly what you want out of a metal vocal), and plenty of actual Japanese loids actually do (aside from the soft ones like Mayu and Lapis), it's the Engloid side of things where the products crumble. FYI, it *is* possible to be a metal singer without screaming, but as I said earlier, the high soprano notes are the money notes in metal (if you're not going to scream).

i cant midi, so this makes my life so much better. 225 is chump change for that. and i think gumi was made to not sound that overdone to not alienate ppl who like how she sound b4. and im glad cause i dont want a hyper realistic gumi, i like the other banks for that.

there is definitely a middle ground that could have reached. You can like how Gumi sounds while also acknowledging nothing significant has changed. Compared to the very dynamic voices of other AI voices on other softwares, this sounds like a boring port

yes, you can still buy any past version of vocaloid. just search the version vocaloid 1 being the oldest from 2005 and vocaloid 6 being the most current from this year. vocaloid 4 is probably still the best iteration in terms of user friendliness, editing and vocal selection
