For me it was ryo who initially sparked and recently re-lit my love for Vocaloid with "World is Mine". I didn't have much of a connection to other artists as I was 11 years old when I last listened to Vocaloid regularly of sorts (2016) and back then I just didn't bother with researching stuff. Then just a few hours ago when trying to find out the name of "DUNE" (cuz I forgot, first heard the song 9 months ago) and looking into the deeper meaning of the lyrics, I rediscovered "ubnubmaster" and watched a few of his videos which I haven't watched before. After that I learned about the death's of samfree, powapowaP and Wowaka. So I decided to look into their songs because I might remember some of their songs (remembered powapowaP and Wowaka as producer names but no more). After I listened to powapowaP - "Strobe Last" I instantly recognozed the song from a few years back which made me feel a bit nostalgic. Once again being remembered of his age when passing (20) and putting the lyrics of the song into context genuinely got me crying for a few minutes. I'm heartbroken.

When I was at my lowest I tended to listen to powapowa. His music struck a special cord and it always made me feel a bit calmer. The music itself never magically made me happy but it did help me to fully experience all of the emotions that I couldn’t really feel in a way that wouldn’t have me in a dangerous place. I shut down emotionally at around age 11 and once I hit 14 and I got out of the situation I was in the weight of all of the trauma and the pent up emotions came crashing in. I was still emotionally an 11yo and it all took a toll on my social skills as well as my ability to properly understand and work through my emotions. I have developed seizures and severe depression/anxiety because of it but thankfully my school counselor noticed and got me to seek professional help. My school counselor saved my life. I was extremely suicidal just last year way far past my last straw. Things are better now but it’s overwhelming and sad to look back to say the very least. It hit really hard to see he had died.

I'm glad you're in a better place now. Please remember there are people who will listen to you, even if you feel like there is no one. There are people who struggle with the same feelings and I'm glad some Vocaloid songs can at least send that message to people: your feelings are shared by others.

Siinamota’s songs remind me of how struggling life can truly be, and how it feels to give up. Wowaka’s songs are like Siinamota’s. They really do show how struggling with depression can be hard, and quite literally the most difficult experience. Samfree’s songs make me feel that there truly is purpose, and meaning in life. Making me feel happy, knowing that purpose will be there. I couldn’t be more thankful for the producers. Thank you to Samfree, Siinamota, and Wowaka for living. Rest in eternal peace.

I use to remember how when I first got into listening to Vocaloid (or it was Miku basically at first) in 2013, I was really fascinated of how you can take a fictional character and give them a voice to compose the songs you're arranging them as a synthesizer. Even if they basically are considered as Softwares. At first I was listening to mostly songs by Ryo (Supercell) or just Ryo alone depending on certain songs that featured Miku singing in iconic songs of "World is Mine", "Love is War", "Sekiranun Graffiti" etc. I just really loved how the arrangement and lyrics were played out in these songs that were addicting and special to listen. Especially "Sekiranun Graffiti" where it tells a message of cherish the moments you have as if it's a journey. Or at least that's how I see it from my perspective. Anyway, to not talk so much, it breaks my heart to see these amazing artists die so young. But at least they were able to make their debute on spreading the memories and moments they gave us for these songs. I remembered how devastated I was to hear Samfree and Wowaka passed away. Especially since I usually liked most of their songs. Promise was a beautiful song that Samfree composed about having a strong friendship between 2 people. And it was definitely a nostalgic song to me not gonna lie. My most favorite songs from Wowaka are "Rolling Girl" that portrays a girl that has been through bullying and set in a stage of possibly committing suicide but in life, there will always be someone that helps you not go that route to know that life isn't all that bad. Kinda like bittersweet that we deal with the good and bad times. For "Unknown Mother Goose" I just really love how the arrangement is made here and tells a story of wondering the meaning of love. (If I remember correctly. I'll have to check back the lyrics to jog my memory since I'm so addicted on listening to its melody.) But in my final words, I give my condolences. May they rest in peace. It tears my heart to see wonderful artists get taken too soon😔💔

But life happens to all of us, that's why we put ourselves through it. Music has a major part in life, since we all will listen to music atleast once, no matter our opinions. Why die the most of them so early ?

The thing about japanese people is that they age very fast.

@@thehatter0319 but dying at 31 is too young in mine opinion, it could be that in my family everyone live till 100 something (in my mother side)

I've never knew about some of them, I was a Fan of vocaloid and I Am a fan of vocaloid, but never knew that some of the producers of songs I loved have passed away, I hope they find peace and calm, they deserved peace and respect for what they have done for all the songs they have created, I will never forget them

to know a lot of my favorite, and darkest vocaloid songs were made by wowaka makes me sad. With powapowa ps songs its upsetting because his last song was uploaded half an hour before he took his life.
