I guess it's normal for it to be slower in beat. Vocaloid was a new program and people was trying to test and Figure things out, which than because of inspirations to others, who starts doing it in slower pace. ( Like how when there's a trend of art, artist starts getting inspirations from one another) Now that the program is fully known, people get more...daring and again, the inspirations cycle happen again

@catbroke17972 жыл бұрын
Oh shit that is interesting
@bluestar39392 жыл бұрын
That really depends on the producers. For example Kairiki bear's recent songs are slower than is older songs. His older songs were often above 230 bpm (his fastest is 294) while his recent are usually bellow 200. For OCs it also depends on producers, some of them even alternate between OCs and the vocaloid depending on the song.
@CompSomAnichi2 жыл бұрын
The thing you have factor in is that some recent songs have been made for rhythm games which can explain why some are faster.
@nessyxx86382 жыл бұрын
@@CompSomAnichi Slower songs also exist in rhythm games, just saying. Also, what was pointed out in the original comment, is exactly the trend of Vocaloid community in recent years. Songs become faster, the focus of the song is not longer on Vocaloids themselves.
@bluestar39392 жыл бұрын
Seeing this comment get so many likes makes me think I need to make a video to show that it's not the case. And I speak as someone who follow hundreds of producers and listen to hundreds of songs every month. Most people only see the popular songs so it might just be an illusion. The only trend I see is songs are getting shorter. And I never saw the general public talk about that, the only people I saw talk about that were vocaloid producers.

It's astounding how many producers have changed and adapted to modern music and collabing with vtubers, music projects etc. I am really glad they can churn out consistently. So many other producers have died down, retired or release songs quietly here and there. EZFG was so peaked ten years ago and sticks with his signature sound and released a song a little while ago with Saki but hasn't got the reception I hoped it should have gotten. Adapting is tough. I love this culture and keeping up with it. Keep up the good work Blue Star.

Yeah only Jin pulled it off, no one comes close and they aren’t doing similar projects to really invest in a character. The way j usually like it is Bad End Night or Evilluous.

I don't mean to be rude, but isn't that kind of dismissing the producers' creativity? it's their music and they're entitled to create what they want. vocaloid isn't all about creating stories for/around the vocaloids themselves, they can be used as a substitute for a live singer, or maybe the producer just likes the sound better and doesn't want to use the vocaloids' design. don't get me wrong, I have nothing against producers using the vocaloids' design/character in an mv, or if the song is about them. I'm just saying that the producer is the one making the music, telling the story, and they get to chooses how they do that, wether that may be with ocs or not. not us. sorry if this sounds rude, just wanted to point out that we should let producers have creative freedom!
@kagamineholo Жыл бұрын
@@aauz what do you mean by dismissing the producers' creativity? . A lot of producers are creative for using the vocaloids as the characters (mothy, hitoshizuyama, etc.) and they're are very well known. Of course they can make whatever they want we aren't their managers, but we just prefer producers that are more story centric with the vocaloid charas. It just seems producers whose focus on the vocaloid are getting less and less nowadays.

This video is very nostalgic, many artists evolved a lot and I am happy that their work is becoming better known through more media than just KZbin. (pro seka nicovideo project diva etc) It's even more surprising when you remember that Miku has only been around for 16 years.

can i just say that toa's songs are very different from your fast catchy beat type of song and its not very fast or slow and it's like drinking water after having a heavy tasting meal, very refreshing. adding on, mothy's songs still follow the old format of Vocaloid depressing ass songs which is interesting to see I'm not saying that the catchy beats are bad as I love those too, but the ones different from them and those who still follow the old format ish just remind me of when I was a kid and obsessed with Vocaloid when I found them. i mean I did slowly listen to more rockish songs compared to old songs, but those old songs are such bangers still

vocaloid was such a part of my childhood and early adolescence, to this day i still find myself coming back to listen to it. be it old or new, it has a charm that no one else can replicate. i remember trying for years (not exaggerating, it took literal years) to find the song "failure girl" again, i couldn't remember the name and only the chorus remained in my mind, it made me emotional when i found it again, the same video by the same person who subbed it all those years ago.

I have to day I miss the days of Vocaloid Trance being mote popular than it is now, producers like Aura Qualic, Aerial Flowx HanasoumenP, Clean Tears, etc. It does kinda exist still, but it's died a lot in popularity. Also miss the blow up of Utaite, and vocaloid music around the time. Still love the stuff coming out now, but the music has changed, and the Utaite scene is also vastly different, with most now making their own music, a handful of bigger names sticking around, or others having moved to vtubing along with covers. It's interesting to see how it's evolved, but I will always miss the past of Utaite.

It's super rad. Thanks for your hard work! I love that Servant of Evil is STILL mothy's most popular song. Traumatized a generation of tweens with that one. Also this isn't related but omg, sasakure made it to Magical Mirai that's so cool? It might just be the 2010 in me but I'm so surprised Hello Planet isn't the most popular song. If you do another one of these, JesusP/WonderfulOpportunity is still around about making bangers these days. JunkyP too I'm pretty sure? I'm sure you get a lot of these so don't worry any if you've got other producers to look into. Keep doing what you're doing =D
