After failed attempts to find her, Konno's father contacted the police. Miyazaki had led Konno into his black car, then drove westward of Tokyo and parked the car under a bridge in a wooded area. There, Miyazaki sat alongside Konno for half an hour before murdering her, then m***sted her corpse. He dumped her body in the hills near his home, departing with her clothes, then allowed the body to decompose before returning to remove her hands and feet, which he kept in his closet. They sneak out, Yuki loses Mary, and the uneasiness and horror begins to set in. The reason everything got more and more messed up later on is thought to be Yuki's paranoia as she can't find her friend At the end, she says "What, you were here?" which means she managed to find Mary- but the fact the song is called "Crushed Mary" implies that she finds the crushed up corpse of her friend. The fact it ends in loud noises and all that makes you think that something bad happens to her as soon as she finds Mary. But this is based on a murder case the letters he sent to taunt. crushed mary manages to be both terrifying and heartbreaking in one go and i love it for that the "what? you were here?" and everything after really does it for me, though it's sort of like the person who was searching for mary has finally figured out why she wouldn't respond and the pure noise that follows really illustrates what they felt when seeing her, along with emphasizing the terrible irony of the situation it's really great storytelling and it scratch my brain (i am scared shitless!!!!)

Wow. Crushed Mary is a really creepy song. But I didn’t know it was based on a true story. So basically in Japan 1988 A girl named Mary was at her friends house and mysteriously vanished. turns out she was kidnapped by a man. The man drove under a bridge and waited 30 minutes and after those 30 minutes Mary was murdered by him. He brought Mary’s corpse to his house and did s3xu@l things with her corpse. A couple of days later he took of her clothes and crushed her corpse and sent that in a box to Mary’s family and wrote a letter. I honestly forgot what the letter said. So that’s how the story of Crushed Mary and her song.
