@@janeforst8464 Thank you so much! Your prayers mean a great deal! Our daughter hasn’t entered religious life yet. Things got a little delayed in terms of visiting some of the orders she was leaning toward due to the pandemic, but she continues to pray about it. She’s really drawn to the contemplative side of the life and now that things are loosening up, she hopes to start visiting orders. She is such an amazing young lady and although we’d miss her terribly, we’d also be so happy if she decided to give her life to Christ.

I'm 50, I have two metal knees and a pacemaker, but I will run right beside the younger ones, there, Sister!!! I'm already a consecrated lay sister for the last 15 years. Bring it on! Let's do it 💪👍👌😇🎶💕🌼. I currently volunteer at two different Missions, just waiting for God to choose me for marriage or a Vocation. I have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I love my Catholic faith, very much.

Do they have a cut off age for sisters? I always thought they all did and found that sad. Often these stirrings come later in life when one is older and wiser. Perhaps, an order should be started for older sisters just starting out in religious life. There is always something they could do. Having such a shortage of sisters these days, it would seem that this could be a good option. There is enough ageism in this world. I love the Franciscan sisters and friars the most! I love the work they do!I They warm my heart. ❤

What age can you come to visit? I’m 14 and I already feel like God may be calling me to this way of life. The Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal interest me a lot and from where I am now I can already say “ya I could probably live that way”. Y’all live such beautiful beautiful lives and are so close to our Lord.

I would love to live this way of life. I was training to be a tertiary when I was married. Sadly he decided I was becoming too religious and asked me to stop. So I did. Since then he's left me n I've been celibate 5 years. I looked into 3rd order recently but I need access to Zoom! I have no other devices apart from my old phone to live a simple life. I can't be a nun my eldest son has had to move back home. I pray another vocation may be Gods Will.

If you feel that Jesus is calling you to be a third order member, see where He guides you. If it's His will, He will make the obstacles disappear. And many third order members have children

Beautiful sharing of how you became a nun. Being so athletic, do you miss exercise? I never hear about any community of nuns even giving themselves 20 or 30 minutes a day of aerobic or stretching exercises. I need to do that or my body just seizes up in pain. Could you do that in the morning before mass, or would that be cheating from prayer? Thank you Sister. God bless you for all you do.🙏

All things can be made prayer, even exercise. In fact, sometimes when I exercise, I can pray as well. It almost gives a beat to walk to!

I met Franciscan monks in 1985 in Sydney Australia I was just thinking of returning to the Church. I had parted ways in 1967. They gave talks nothing on the Gospel but lots of hatred towards the Latin Tridentine Roman Rite Church. I found the weekend a waste of time. Have I returned to Catholicism Definitely Not! And never will.

Well, the thumbs up is to say I understand. I gave years of service to the Church, pro bono, in different Ministries, but when I needed a lot of help, not financial, but a lot of political abuse, trying to shut me down professionally, etc., (pro Life) the Church agencies had no interest in helping; they could have made one or two phone calls, but couldn't be bothered: HOWEVER, there were a few individual priests, one in particular, whose intercessions, support and "respect" were incredibly powerful and personally moving. This is because the Eucharist is the center and foundation of our Church, and as you know, Christ is present in the Eucharist, IS, the Eucharist... And there's a reason that you were called or guided to this page, one year ago... Are you sure those monks were authentic, because Franciscans are FRIARS. And I never hear ANY hatred toward the Latin Tridentines from other RCs. Usually the reverse. You may abandon Jesus. He will never abandon you. All is well and all manner of things shall be well...
