In high school in NYC I was part of a group of the best electrical students in the city. They took us to the Department of Labor for an aptitude test. My test told me due to my inferior dexterity in my hands and based on how I processed information, I was HIGHLY unlikely to be successful in the electrical industry and I was better suited for office work. I was crushed. All I wanted to be was an electrician. I told no one of my results. I remember riding the bus home in silence while all my friends were so excited with their results. I trusted what my parents had always told me. That I could do whatever I wanted. I stayed the course. After a very lucrative 25 year career in various aspects of the electrical industry, I was recently appointed Lead Airfield Electrician at one of the airports in NYC. I don’t tell this story to boost my own ego. I tell this story because even the institutions we know and trust to guide us when we are young, can still play a role in us doubting ourselves. Never doubt yourself. Whatever your goals are, you can achieve them with hard work, dedication and focus.

Congrats... M also facing a issue in my college. I'm a B.Ed student rn and in 3rd Sem we have Internship and as per the rules Govt school should be given for training but our college have their own school so they sent us their. Whereas I deeply wanted Government school for teaching training to see the system and work culture there as in future we have to work their if selected. But they didn't even listen and gave the excuse of English Medium Students can't go there...like seriously I know that's not justifying their saying but they actually did this and now just surviving and going without interest as they don't give us to learn something or responsible to work.
@MDAce1502 ай бұрын
@@mysteryyy16 I’m very sorry to hear that. I know from experience it can be frustrating when those we trust to prepare us for the future don’t take that responsibility as seriously as they should. My humble advice would be to take as much of your future into your own hands as you can. That’s often easier said than done. But maybe could you do some research and find out what government schools in your area usually accept students in programs like yours? Could you maybe reach out to one and explain the situation to them? Maybe they could request you. Maybe if all other options are exhausted, you could contact one and explain the situation and even ask if you could observe and learn on your own free time. Forget the normal process if you have to. Is there some government agency you could contact to file a complaint or inform about the negligence? Put your future ahead of protocol if you can. Sorry I don’t know really how the process for your area of expertise works, but I know when systems begin to fail us thinking outside the box is our best option. You sound passionate that this is what you want… Stay professional but focus that passion and frustration and turn it into determination. You WILL accomplish your goal. Incompetent people and institutions will NOT stop you. They. Will. Not.

The fact that Chris’ son was actually 14months old and not 5 is just amazing. He truly deserved every success that he earned.
@AefZmlf-i9dАй бұрын
Wait what the character was only 14 months in this movie? I never would of thought that. He doesn't talk or act or even walk like any 14month old. I still think he was a good actor but i would of guessed he was playing the role of a 5 year old. Like he even goes to school every day. Are you sure your not confusing this movie with something else?????
@AefZmlf-i9dАй бұрын
Also he was 5 in real life when he auditioned for the role.
@Jonathan.roman_official9 ай бұрын
These are the words of encouragement that he needs to hear to himself. Hence why he is saying it to his son consciously, he also saying it to himself unconsciously. It's exactly the answer to his own questions and problems he is dealing with yet projecting the answer to his son. Which is really amazing writing and acting as well as the underlining message.

Remember when I was a kid growing up everything I wanted to do was shut down by my mam. If I wanted to do something she would always say mind you this might happen or such and such did that and they failed or had a panic attack. No words of encouragement. I did okay. Left home joined the army served 14 years now own my own business. Took a lot of getting over self doubt however that was drilled into me by my parents because they were all about playing it safe. My little girls I will never do that. I will tell them to aim for the stars
