I believe Kemper player is only Omni for now. How did you isolate the midi commands to the HX Stomp so that it wouldn’t affect the kemper? Tks! Great demo!

You are correct. At the moment the Kemper Player only supports Omni. This will change in a future update according the helpdesk of Kemper. At this demo, the Kemper is set to MIDI channel 1 and the HX Stomp is set to channel 2. Whenever a Kemper command is send it will not affect the HX Stomp. The commands send on channel 2 to turn on/off the HX Stomp FX are also received by the Kemper, but by using CC# 101-106 that's no problem, since these are not used in the Kemper Profiler.

The Kemper Player is powered by the 9v adapter that you get when you buy the unit.

Do you have to program the on or off state of the FX from the HX stomp manually in the MX-Software to match up with the HX Preset or sends the MX the command for the HX when changing a preset? EDIT: Oh, is there a way to get seperate FX statuses in different Snapshopts within the same Presets?

Both will work. In this case I set the FX state for each (HX Stomp) preset in the MX editor. Oh, is there a way to get seperate FX statuses in different Snapshopts within the same Presets? No that is not possible. In that scenario you better keep on (HX) presets + snapshots, only presets or only snapshots on the MX.

Hi~ Could you let me know how you connected the midi switch to the Kemper? 7 pin midi out plug to Usb A in Kemper?

No, I used the CME U2 MIDI Pro USB to Midi cable. Be aware that not all USB to Midi cables work perfectly with the Kemper Player. Especially if you want to sync data. I tried several cables and only the CME U2 MIDI Pro works perfectly. Of course there could be other brands that I'm unaware of that will work. www.thomann.de/intl/cme_u2_midi_pro.htm

Do you mind sharing how the preset syncing works? I have never seen this before and it looks awesome. I assume there are some midi messages used for this?

Yes, the MX uses Midi Sysex to communicate with the Kemper Profiler Player. Works also with all other Kemper products.

I don't think so. Since you have only 1 input, best you can get is 2x mono output.
