I have owned my Voge 300 Rally dual-sport motorcycle for 9 months and covered 3000 kms. In this video I tell you just what I think about it. It has been pointed out to me that there is an error in the video about the suspension specifications. I have shown the rear suspension travel to be 80mm. The total travel is 80mm plus the movement of the linkages. After further research I have found the total travel 240mm.

I have to clear up an error in my video about the rear suspension. I have shown the rear suspension travel in the specs as 80mm. To be accurate the rear shock absorber travel 80mm. Total travel is that, plus the movement of the linkages, which I have since found is 240mm.

Great video! Lots of useful information. I love what this bike has to offer and i plan on buying one. I owned Zontes 310T2 which is another chinese bike. I sold it as i won't be able to ride next summer season as I won't be home but after I finally return I plan on buying something a bit more offroad capable and this Voge seems as the best option for the price.

Thanks you. Yes I use the USB. Luckily we get a lot of dry weather here, so most of the time I can use it. I'm not sure just how waterproof it would be though. To be sure, when it rains I have a power bank in my tank bag & pass a cable from that. Yes the Voge & Himalayan are very different animals. Both would take you amazing places, although the Voge has the edge off-road. The Himalayan is more versatile as a motorcycle, in my opinion. If I didn't have the Tiger & the Voge, I would get a Himalayan. Depends what you want the bike for. Good luck with your decision.

I'm planning a trip from the UK to Capetown starting September or October 2024, and am considering this bike. In the UK you can get the Honda CRF300 Rally, but as you, probably, know it's getting on for twice the price of the Voge, The difference in price ( £2800 ) could be used to help pay for the trip. However, there's other things to take into consideration, like the distance between oil changes, the unknown reliability of the Voge etc. I'm, also, looking at the Yamaha XT250, which is lighter than both of these, and is air cooled (something less to go wrong) and has a lower seat height, so at 5' 10'' with a 31" inseam, I can get my leg over easier. This will be difficult on the Voge, or Honda with anything sitting on the rear rack. The other option is to do it like ' Itchy Boots' does and high kick your leg over, which I can just about do on my Himalayan. Unfortunately, the Himalayan is too heavy if you have to keep picking it up, which is quite likely as I'm not great off road ( plan to get better on the trip ) and at 72 ( I'll be 73 by the time the trip starts) I need light. Anyway, I've subscribed to your channel. Good, honest video. Thanks.

Hi, respect to you brother! Thanks for watching, and your comments. I have a 31" inseam. I get both feet down on level ground. It's the slopes that can catch me out 😁. For a trip like that it's important to get the bike that suits you. Loncin is a massive corporation, and Voges are selling in many countries around the globe. First service 1000km, second 5000 and every 5000 thereafter. It all looks easy enough to do basic maintenance. It's a case of trusting your judgment. Good luck with whatever you get. I wish you a fantastic adventure.✌

All good. The only thing that I noticed as a potential problem is your mention of a flimsy side stand. I watched your training on gravel with a drifting rear wheel, and I do not think I'll even try that - beyond my skill level. But I do regularly use the side stand on my bikes to turn the bike around, especially when parking in some tight spot. Would you dare to do that on 300 rally side stand?
@livelongrideonover70
@livelongrideonover70 Жыл бұрын
If I gave the impression that it’s flimsy, then that’s not what I intended. It actually appears to be quite sturdy. The thing that concerns me is the amount of sideways play. I have tried to tighten it but the bolt is stepped and I can’t. It’s strong enough to stand on but I don’t want to keep doing that to my bike. Maybe I just have too much mechanical sympathy. So in answer to your question, if I don’t want to put my weight on it repeatedly then I wouldn’t want to keep turning by the stand. When it’s in for the next service I will ask the mechanic for his opinion. I could be wrong.

It's been 5 years now that I don't own a bike so it's about time :-) I have already tested BMW 310GS and I didn't like it; strange feeling (or maybe not-feeling) of the bike, engine producing nasty noise and vibrations. Then was KTM 390 ADV - on road everything was fine but when went off road it turned out to be stiff... Too stiff for me :-( Dissappointment because every test prooved this bike to be the best it the class. Well, not to me apparently. 2 or 3 weeks ago I've tested Royal Enfield Himalayan - much better comfort in off road but too heavy. Pity because it's a really good bike. There was also Honda CRF300 Rally on my list but since in my whole country (Poland) there is no test bike at all (!) Voge is my last chance. But I get the idea of an all rounder, a calmer, steadier ride. The Voges seems like a solid little jeep of a bike, the EXC a thoroughbred. It's the race horse v the working farm horse.
