The guy who said that the sweet spot was 8,000 was actually playing his cards close to his chest.. This engine is identical to the Yamaha MT03 in both bore & stroke, & compression ratio. Peak torque arrives at 9,000 & peak power at 10,500. The Yamaha is 9,200 & 10,750 respectively. Voge have been extremely conservative with the tacho in making the redline at 8,500. As the engine, if you went by the tacho, would never quite get into its stride. At 9,000, it develops 38 plus of its 41 bhp at 10.500. Incidentally, 9,000 corresponds to 85 mph by GPS. So it's a genuine 100 mph bike under the right conditions. For those concerned about high revs, the kawasaki 300X twin developed maximum torque at 10,000, & maximum power at 11,500 - with a 13,000 rpm red line. That had a 47 mm stroke. The Voge & Yamaha have just 44 mm! So you can wring its neck with impunity!

In 1976 sold my T250 suzuki 2 stroke 33bhp( rapid bike) and bought a honda cb360 n lime green. 34 bhp was an absolute belter. I ragged that everywhere a great size/weight and power at the time at least. Love small cc bikes. The 4 stroke honda was more civilised and led me to ascend 500/550/750/1000cc bikes of their day. Gleaming chrome. Pure heaven. Superb review and enjoying isle of wight

Great video. I'm interested in the AC350 and the smaller Rally 300. None of the road tests show what the bikes are like if you own one and commute on it. Real world matters such as getting it in and out of the garage, starting it when there's a frost, how to padlock it, will it carry a laptop, will the fuel last a week, manoeuvring it over a kerb onto the pavement, manoeuvring on tippy-toes, carrying a colleague and can you take a spare helmet, filtering between cars, is the headlight good enough, recharging a phone, fitting a Garmin Nav, are heated grips possible, can you beat cars away from the lights to reach a safe road position, confidence on wet town roads, will it take a top box, a screen, ease of topping up the coolant, oil and tyres. The AC looks a better bike for the open road but in the real world of workaday riding is the smaller cheaper Rally the better choice?

It's good for consumers that Chinese manufacturers are offering value for money motorcycles. Hopefully its keeping the rest of the market on It's toes. Buy one, run it for a few years. Get to work have fun. Like any bike at the moment, sell it early in It's life and it will depreciate like a stone. My personal preference would still be a Guerrilla 450 from Enfield but I'm probably too big for both bikes.

So Mr Helmet Head - How much is the Voge 350 AC?
@HelmetHead2 ай бұрын
Well…at the time of making the video it’s an amazing £3999. But if I was you Rod I’d get your order in now, as I can only see the price going up!! @@HelmetHead Bearing in mind 1) it's Chinese, 2) there is currently a collapse in bike value's and 3) dealers are going out of business everywhere you look In what world is this bike likely to go up in price ? ...

I've ridden two voges, a 300 rally which gave me tooth ache and a ac525x which I liked but found a little cumbersome. I looked at the ac350 but it seemed a little small for me. Helmethead, please don't advise people to buy without trying as someone who is 6' 2" will not find it a pleasant place to sit as someone who is 5' 8"..from experience!!!

Any idea on the weight of it?

165 kilos, which is just over 360 lbs. It's the same weight as a proper 125 !

@@rodgeskell4218 Thanks, I couldn't find the weight on the link unless I missed it somehow, still 23kg heavier than my 300 but not too bad really.
@rodgeskell42182 ай бұрын
@Peakwanderer For a Euro 5 compliant road bike that's designed to carry 2 adults and has ABS and full emissions control, evap cannister + cat converters it's a good weight for a budget bike.

Whilst I admire your over enthusiasm for this banana bike, I'd like to point out that an old Honda hornet 250-4 produced from 1997-2007 has 40bhp and a true trashing 16,000 rpm red line which produces max power at 14,000 rpm and it's max torque of 18ft lb at 11,000 rpm, now that's thrashing, and it sounds 100 times better than this voge (nothing against voge, just making a point) 😊 oh yeah it weighed in at 167kg 😉
@Milkybar33200112 ай бұрын
Love your enthusiasm, but the market is awash with better sub 400cc pocket rockets. It won’t hold its value when you look to trade it in.

I agree about the rear, those wheel huggers are an abomination. It's stopped me buying bikes I've wanted before, they look hideous.
@rodgeskell42182 ай бұрын
@@Chris-mn7yy it's a Euro 4 / 5 mandatory health & safety requirement that if the rear bodywork does project sufficiently past the rear wheel to mount the rear number plate, the plate will need to be mounted on an extender bracket or mounted on a carrier from the swingarm. It's to do with preventing pedestrians from falling into the rear wheel, because as an Fool know... they're always chucking themselves onto the rear wheel - Not!
