Pretty much sums it up,,,,brand new out the box, a lot of bike. Fuelling is shocking low down, keep the throttle either open or shut, it really doesn’t like part throttle, and it goes. Took mine on some country back roads today, and loved it. Riding it like a big super moto it’s a blast,,,chill at 70 on the motorways, with a bit left for the occasional overtake.. I’d happily recommend the bike to anyone, as long as they are prepared to thrash it as there’s nothing below 2.5k and only really picks up above 4K.

Great to hear I'm not the only owner, couldn't agree with you guys more about the fueling issue but mainly I can't disagree that the bike is just fun to ride always controllable I find and surprisingly I do get alot of people commenting and asking about it. Great review ER

Haven't even got to the end of the video and I'm enjoying it already. The 650 is lovely bike and I only had a quick blast on it but for me its the 500DSX all the way. Keep up the great Voge content I'm an avid watcher.

Thanks Exeter Rider for your honest opinion and review. I´m in love with this bike, maybe because I had an old Tenere 660, and I miss the single cylinder "hitting" my ass hahahaha, but I think this bike is unique because of the engine, honest for the price, and as you said, you won´t feel guilty is you ride off road, or if you crash the bike... I´ve seen all your videos, and, amazing review. Thanks mate and regards from Spain!!!

Like I've said before, I do like the look of that bike. The lack of power might turn me away, can't say for sure until I ride one. Either way, it's still a very good deal!! Really nice shots you got at the end there!!

It looks good. Sounds like a good bike to me. Having to keep the revs above 2,500 rpm is normal for a single. My V-twin KTM 950 had to be kept above 2,500. A real deal with the boxes.

I like the look ER so a single at a similar price to the 500X Honda and this one comes with all the panniers and box which do you reckon would be the better buy , I find to look at they are both nice lookin bikes difficult choice . There is so much choice these days . : )

A significant problem is the lack of dealerships. Many, though listed on Voge's website, do not sell anything above 125cc. Often there is no dealer website and is any case they are few and far between.

Most Lexmoto dealers sell them, To be honest for that reason -I thought the network was pretty good. I have 2 in my local reach.. Depends where you are I guess : )

The lack of low down grunt is due to euro 5, running it so lean, I rode the Mash 650 X-Cross uses the 650 dominator engine, nothing below 2500 rpm, spoke to someone with an old 650 Honda and he said it would wheelie down low off the throttle, said so lean to get through the emissions.

Yeap thing is, it's no good running an engine that's not compatible with euro5. If it dosent work then do something else. It's almost not fit for purpose. Thanks for watching 📺🍻

@@exeterrider I know they have to work within what the rules say, snatchie throttles are caused because every time you close it, even a little, it cuts fuel, an air cooled single is fine in countries without euro 5 it the running so lean saps the power and makes them run hot.

@@johnharvey5338 new work 5 bikes have been fine that I have ridden, but the euro 5s that were euro 4 have had issues unless they have had cc upgrades like the africa twin, vstrom 1000 etc.👍

For the equipment you get, it's pretty good. The only issue with these is the resale value to be honest. At least in Belgium. I recently sold my Honda cb500x and got a decent price out of it still. My buddy who has a Benelli TRK from 2020 (which is relatively well known).., well he can't shift it for half the price he paid for it. People looking for a bargain, search for these chinese ADV bikes in the secondhand market/

It's relevent what you say there for sure. Things are slowly changing on that front for the better here, certainly in the 125 sector. It off interest how did he get on with the TRK? any issues, and how many miles did he put on?

it was pretty good in his view. The amount of equipment you get with it is excellent as well. the engine was a bit of a letdown though, compared to the cb500x's engine. That unit is a lot more refined. He didn't really have issues after 8000 miles, but he just got bored of it. (like i did with my 2020 cb500x). Good starter bikes for sure if you are on the tall side. (we are both taller than 6.2). My main issue with the cb500x & Benelli is the lack of a soul/character. Sure, they do everthing pretty well, but after a ride and parking it in the garage, I didn't even stop to look at the bike. I traded it in with a secondhand Motoguzzi V85 TT, which delivers character in spades, and it's the best experience on a motorbike i've ever had.

@@henrietn yes I only hear good about the TRK, but it gets a rough time of it from others. Like you say the emblem lacks excitement but it's still a good little engine. If like to try a guzzi but, few and far between here.

@@exeterrider Yea, I bought a 2019 model for a really good price (same as a specced cb500x), and it's out of warranty. They are easy to work on so I will do the maintenance myself.

From memory it did around 40mpg mixed riding. I think it did around 120 miles till I filled up,.

um ,,, sorry = but its a 650 not a 300 ,, so they need to turn the fueling up and not be so spineless . good looking bike , just needs sorting . .. no = these bikes are not offroad suitable . they are upright everyday ride to work and courier bikes . with a dusty trail capability .
