Iconic star of the 2000s, Christina Aguilera has marked several generations of fans and the very history of pop culture. This year, as a surprise guest in Cannes to give an exceptional performance at the amfAR party (which contributes to AIDS research), the American star opens up to the cameras of Vogue. We followed her behind the scenes of her performance, from her hotel room in Cap-Eden-Roc to the backstage of her concert. Just moments before going on stage, she shares with us her beauty rituals, her fantasies of French love and her constant search for authenticity. Because it was Christina Aguilera who, in the early 2000s, drew the contours of the Y2K aesthetic, which is making a comeback this season: chaps, chrome nail art, rhinestone jewelry, dramatic eye shadow, low-rise pants... For Vogue, Christina Aguilera analyzes the very essence of this iconic style.
