Man this game is old. However despite this games really bad voice acting, it truly is a diamond in the rough. Great characters, story, game mechanics, music, excellent boss fights and badass specials and summons. The only thing holding this game back greatly is the voice acting.

One of my favorite jrpgs of last gen. The voice acting is only really bad for Ryfia, L'arc is a little bland but tolerable and I find Niko kind of endearing. Some of the voice acting is actually pretty good, like Rastan, it's just kind of a mixed bag. I strongly recommend anyone trying it, it has a good story, good music, and a very addictive battle system.

This is completely true. Although the voice acting starts to become bearable as you play through for the most part. And there were some decent voices in the lot as well. The game itself, though, is really enjoyable, and there's a lot to do in it. If people can ignore the bad voice acting, they'd find a good game beneath all that.

I highly recommend everyone to just play the "undub" version of the game. The original Japanese voice acting is professional and very well done, whereas this English dub was just done by a bunch of amateurs completely devoid of any expression or emotion. The difference is like night and day. Trust me, you will like this game a lot more if you play the undub version.
