I am not a twin but I only had 1 brother and our mom dad grandparents and our close aunts and uncles are deceased . My brother married had kids and grandbabies we were not close never from little up .our mom died 7 years ago I was in charge of care giving .my brother passed 3 years ago we lived a few miles a part I got a letter in the mail a little while after he died telling me he passed I hope he makes peace it sure made him up set I can't talk to my brother I just turned 60 I have some serious health problems my brother had just turned 59 3 years ago anyone missing their family try to connect and resolve unresolved feelings while you can God bless you I getting ready to go through a whole lot of test alone. They won't let the dog or cats come.

I cried with Olly as I have been separated from my large family for 14 years. I believe that some of them would have wished things in our lives went differently. I have not. I never want to see them again and that is very sad. Now I am happy and proud of what I have accomplished and where I am.

Olly's story brought me to tears. I did know the story about him and his twin brother's fall out back in the time Olly was on X Factor. But to hear Olly tell the story like he did in this video, it's just so heartbreaking. As a sister it would destroy me if I lost that loving bond I always have with my siblings, because I have always adored them. I feel so sorry for Olly and I wish I could have reached out to hug him too

I know what it's like, l hadn't spoken to my brother for 20yrs till last year. I'm a fraternal twin, I'm the elder by 5 minutes, and we we're as heavy as one stone in weight . And at that time we were the heaviest twins born in the West Midlands in 1970. I was the heaviest at 8lb 6oz!!! And you can imagine how much stress it put on my late mother.

I can relate to this a bit: I don’t have any siblings, but I haven’t seen or spoken to my parents in 8 years. It’s too long of a story to put on here in this comment, but the shortened version is that once I saw their true colors (after I took blinders off and got off an autopilot mode I didn’t realize I was on), I didn’t like nor care for what I saw. For many years, I tried expressing myself and my feelings when things bothered me or stuff like that, and all they would do is laugh, criticize me, or call me names (I heard frail male the most). And what’s worse is they constantly poked the bear, which usually caused me to leave the area and harm myself in a different room or area. But unfortunately they don’t care nor are they ever going to admit their wrongdoing; they basically feel justified in everything and care more about being right/justified than they do about being my parents.

Such a shame. Life is just a series of decisions and sometimes those decision are between two commitments. It's shame that people can't just express their disappointment without destroying their relationship. I am sure Olly loves his brother and I know that missing his brother's wedding really hurt his brother and his brother's wife. But to then destroy that brotherly relationship because of that. Yes it might have been a really bad decision on Olly's part.. but there has to be forgiveness, after 10 years? Come on you guys. I know there might be more to it then just missing the wedding but, Both of you need to grow up, forgive and move on.

I wanna say about olly murs I know is like lose a love one and a close friend to if someone you know if is your brother or a cost star on X factor uk or maybe somebody is close friends with I wanna I’m connected to olly I remember he started to perform on X factor in uk in 2009 when he did iconic Stevie wonders superstition song for Simon cowell I never forget it since after he became a pop star he started music videos and being on pop star magazines and commercials and ads on tv and been a judge on the voice and since when he saw those 2 girls it took me back when Caroline flack was alive when she was with him I remember when I had watching the X factor extra news it had brought back so many painful memories like when she on show I remember when they kissed and when they crazy pranks and all the hugging and dancing around back stage and been together forever is like having a brother and do things together for olly when he saw those girls coming out on to the stage and stand there is like time had stood still and move on life for me I never get a chance to audition for X factor uk and I never to meet Caroline and olly to because I love Caroline so much she is my celebrity crush and if or when I go heaven I will married her and I will do it for olly because he never get chance to ask her to be his wife so I’ll do it for him he will get his closer and also in my power is all right with her I get married to her and do it for olly if he wanted if olly wants needed us our spirits will be with him and won’t be alone

Not all 'twin' kids are identical. Twins can be identical or fraternal. Fraternal twins occur when two eggs are fertilised by two separate sperm cells, while identical twins occur after an egg has been fertilised but said egg splits to form two(embryo) Katie and Aoife are fraternal twins.

Put yourself in his brother's shoes; he probably asked Olly to be his BEST MAN... but he blew him off at his WEDDING because he felt it was more important to become famous than to share this _important defining moment_ in his life. If I were his brother I wouldn't speak to him again either. There's always two sides to every story...

I agree with you that there's always two sides to every story, and we shouldn't judge without knowing, but it is very curious to me that a wedding date could not be changed to accommodate the whole family, seeing as the xfactor final could not. The fact that the twin stopped having relations with the whole family suggests that the problem wasn't the wedding attendance, but it was much deeper than that. Personally, I'd never marry a person that would be all right with me cutting ties with my own family and change my name, nor would I demand of my sibling to miss the chance to fulfill their dreams (which Olly went ahead and did, very successfully). When relationships fail, it's never the fault of one party, it's always, always both sides at fault, miscommunication, and unwillingness to make sacrifices.

@@lina1911 oh okay that puts things even further into perspective. 🤔 I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. Family often does have a falling out over things like this. The brother has his own life and is grown up to make his own decisions, he might have a better understanding with his in-laws possibly. Olly seems to be a really standup guy and really nice, so it's his loss, basically. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m sure Ollie had a contract and had to abide by it. It’s just not as simple as blowing off the show for one night. He spoke on how much he cared for his twin, I’m sure he didn’t want to miss the wedding either.
