Spring Day has a special place in our hearts. RM and Suga said they wrote it about missing friends, but the music video for it is also a tribute to a terrible national tragedy that resulted in the death of hundreds of high schoolers.

This song is a tribute to the children that drowned in a ferry accident. The disaster created a great controversy about responsabilities. The government did not appreciate any criticism of how they had handled the event, so BTS had to choose thrir words carefully. There are videos that explain the context. The mv has powerful references and symbolism too.

Well...the vocal lines..sometimes I would feel in this way: Jin: the most honest and sincere voice that a human would sing when looking up to the sky JK: takes you to the sky no matter what the weather was cause like airplane once you are above all the clouds, you see a clear sky Jimin: He brings you Angel, an angel that will comfort you and listen to all your words V: you will hear God's answer!

When you think 2 of the vocalist Jin and Jimin weren't singers when they became part of BTS. Jin didn't dance or sing he was at uni doing Theatre and Film as he'd planned to be an Actor.

Spring day is a tribute song to the victims of ferry that sank in south korea,…at d same when suga wrote this he was thinking of his good friend during highschool time, they been through hardtimes together, to him his friend that was a great guy but he turned his life to bad, and no matter suga tried to help him..and remind him, he just sank deeper until he got in trouble until he doesnt recognize him anymore… one day his friend was in jail and later killed himself.suga were saddened losing his best friend , he blame himself for a while thinking he could have tried harder to save his friend.

1st I'd like to say that judging others are not allowed, keep the hate to yourselves!! We + BTS spread beautiful love & happiness! They always are in sync.. One is just as beautiful & talented as the other. The struggles that they went through together made them stronger but not just their performances, it made their love for eachother tighter than friends. It made them love,respect eachother as brothers, as a family!! These young men showed the world what a true family looks like. From these beautiful, talented guys we see how respect + love can, as a end reult,give us = great music. Through each & struggle they depended upon each one to help them get through the very hard times. It's good to see when Jimin's voice is praised, his voice is very high-pitched and many haters attack him because they say he doesn't sing well or that his high-pitched voice bothers them.

I enjoyed your respectful and knowledgeable reaction. The song was written by one of the rappers, RM, by the way. He is also the main lyricist in BTS. I think you are spot on about them being polished and raw at the same time. That's part of their secret. One of the vocalists, Jungkook, has actually explained how to him expressing emotions is always more important than singing technically perfect. You will never catch any of them belting out just because they can. The way they connect with the listener if you open your heart to them and allow them in is quite unique. My song suggestion: I think you would really like Your Eyes Tell, which highlights the vocalists' beautiful highnotes. It's a song in Japanese that they did for the soundtrack of a Japanese film (Jungkook co-wrote it). I will put a link for a live version under this comment.

Another singer on their label said that he came across the lyrics that RM had written "I miss you, saying it out loud makes me miss you even more" and was immediately jealous....it was so good, he wished he could sing that song, that it could be his track...though of course he knew a bts track written by bts was going to go to brs first, especially one that good..

I appreciate your reactions to BTS. I love seeing how they touch others with their music. You’re so right, the lyrics are incredibly powerful and put with their voices, it’s almost unbelievable. I think you’ll find you like all their music. ;) As many others have said, you can get their individual songs too if you want to hear just one voice for awhile. Personally, I’d love to see you react to Black Swan. The performance version at the Late Late Show. That one is a visual and auditory treat in so many many ways.

Since you've only seen Dynamite at the Grammys as an example of their live performances, I want to suggest MMA 2019 or really MAMA 2016-2020 and MMA 2018-2020. You'll probably be a little overwhelmed, as they will perform all new songs. However, this will allow you to start exploring their discography and see them live. I'm not sure the videos have subtitles, so for lyrics use doolset, it's run by a Korean army who explains cultural references / wordplay you might otherwise miss.
