She is absolute mastery. I don't know when she manages to get a breath in, half bent to the ground, with her diaphragm compressed and her neck rounded to her chest and her voice somehow continuing as if nothing. She. Is. A. Marvel. And, yes, she is a talented and accomplished performer. Indeed, she can probably sing in any position, pretzeled or not, and still be on pitch and with full breath control. She allows herself to be vulnerable on stage. She commands it, yes, but she is full in, and it communicates directly to the heart, draws you in, mesmerized by the human drama that she manifests. I've seen her in concert in September last year in NYC, and even on that premiere night, with hits and misses as far as narrative (the choice on mostly French narrative, for example), an untested audience, and what had to be jitters of a first night of a new tour, she was magnificent. Artist through and through.

@@TheVoiceLoveCo It was indeed! And almost on a fluke that I found out that she had ONE show in NYC, the FIRST show of her 50 Tour. I was still a fairly 'new' fan to her artistry (having only come across her on KZbin perhaps 3 years ago or so), but I was very glad for the opportunity and very glad I went. Even more so knowing that there were many 'bigger fans' of hers, who sadly did not get to see her when the last chunk of shows of her 50 Tour (which were to take place in Europe, I believe) were cancelled due to the pandemic. I hope she will go back to touring, because she truly is fantastic on stage.

@@TheVoiceLoveCo I saw her in concert too, here in Finland, at the Finlandia House in Helsinki a few years ago. That was POWERFUL! I was glad I was sitting at the back because I honestly thought then that I could not have handled the emotion she conveyed if I had been close to the stage. Now I think that she was enough for the whole concert hall, she could communicate to everybody, draw everybody into that atmosphere, and if she comes to Finland again, I will buy tickets in the front row. She is an amazing artist, and seeing and hearing her in a live concert is an experience one certainly remembers.

I don't know every Lara Fabian song, and I haven't really dived into her discography. And there's a reason for this. She's a fantastic singer, but there's just something missing in the studio recordings I have heard. Even Adagio which is my favourite studio recording of hers. She's really one of those artists that belongs on a stage, where she performs in front of an audience and feed of that energy. That's where she at least for me really touches me. And I've never even seen her for real live - only the concert videos. What an experience it must be to actually be in the audience.

Same here. Though to be honest, I'd rather be back in time and be at this 2002 concert, or her US concert "From Lara with Love", or her "En toute intimite" concert. These were peak Lara performances in my book. Vocally and/or stage presence wise. Nowadays (well before Covid stopped all shows), she's more settled down both the vocal performance (still an amazing voice and technique) as well as how she's occupying the stage.

@@Platycqb That's true. I saw her at a concert in Paris in 2018. I traveled with a friend all the way from Argentina just to see her. It was our dream since we "discovered" her in 2001 with "I will love again". It was a good concert but nothing compared to "From Lara with love". I would have given anything to had listened to her live on her prime.

I saw Lara's name pop up and instantly punched that like button. The album version of this song is such an incredible recording. I find that in this particular performance the backing vocals stand out a little too much to my liking; it's not something that I've noticed in any of the other songs during that concert. Might I add that the entire concert was exceptional. My personal highlights from said concert are parce que tu pars and je t'aime. During the latter the audience does most of the singing, making the experience all the more magical and breathtaking. She has so many exquisite songs that touch on such a wide spectrum of emotions, I really can't wait to see you react to more of Lara's material.

Lara was suffering from a fever during the tapings of this DVD, so her voice was not 100%. Yet she went ahead anyway so as to not disappoint her fans. I was in the audience all 3 nights, and Lara came out at the end of each show to apologize to the audience for being sick and not being able to sound like her normal self.

If you love the emotiv aspect of her performance you'll love all duet she did. She like very much doing duett. I particulary think the one with the coolest french woman singer. The very late Maurane, a pure velvet voice from a gold soul. The song name "Tu es mon autre."

You nailed it! Lara is an artist. The definition of an artist. Obviously a singer, but I would say she could play in movies or plays. She has a gift to interpret her characters. It somehow shows in some of her music videos, but most importantly during her concerts. And yes, she's an unapologetic woman. In the sense that, even though she had her struggles in life, she's fully embracing her sensuality, her humor, her appetite for life,... Lara is a passionate human being, no big news here. But it shows and that's awesome to watch.

Yaaaay!! You have no idea how excited I am for this! I've been begging my handful of vocal coaches to do this performance for a long time. As a formally trained singer myself ("vocal coach" is much more fun than "voice teacher"😊) what she does with her body is just so amazing. I've never seen anyone hold the notes, the dynamics, and the emotion steady in the simplest of movements, like the side twists in the beginning, let alone in the way she throws her body forward. It just blows my mind. Just like with her voice she is never not in complete control and always keeping her upper body perfectly straight. I don't even think most people trained in musical theatre are this adept, it's a different kind of performing. I love this whole concert so much I found a copy on eBay and spent way too much, but I had to have it. The whole thing is a love fest and a comeback after going through a very dark time and nearly quiting as well as thinking of suicide. I'm just so excited someone finally branched out from the main songs everyone reacts to. Obviously they are phenomenal and worthy, but her full catalogue is a stunning body of work. My only complaint is to the editors. At the moment she flips around she throws her leg over the back of the chair so smoothly it's beautiful. But it's easy to miss because of the editing, and of course you stopped it right on that moment lol. Thank you for making my week!

En esos años daban muchos programa musicales en televisión y tuve la oportunidad de conocerla en estos musicales. Estuvo bastante tiempo por aquí y cada 3 días siempre salía en televisión cantando. Incluso transmitieron un concierto de ella. La verdad quedé fascinada de su talento su voz y su manera de interpretar. La adoro. Yo la llamo mi Ángel sacó un cd donde están, otro amor vendrá éste en español y también en inglés. Adagio, otra en español. Quédate, Caruso, Je t'aime, Malada y otras más ese cd me lo compré se vendió mucho. Y de pronto desapareció y ya no la vi más en España. Desde entonces las sigo por internet. Tengo muchos video descargados de ella y 2 concierto. No hay día que no la vea tanto en KZbin, en Instagram. Estoy suscrita en canales de KZbin que sólo son videos ó entrevistas de ella. Unos de los canales de KZbin se llama Lara Fabián México que también está en Facebook como página y todos los video están traducidos en español. Así imagínate los años que hace qué la conozco. en mi Facebook a todos los tengo cansado de compartir video de mi Ángel Lara Fabián. Cada día comparto uno ó dos vídeos de ella. I have a story you might be interested in, a fan challenged Mylene, the sister that arranges the vocals and harmonies in Fourth Impact, to take the Natalie Cole solo hit, Our Love, and arrange it to fit all four sister's voices!!! It was done in their home during quarantine with no professional equipment just four wireless mics!!!! Mylene has been referred to as a musical genius for the way she arranges their vocals!!!! Hi Coach! Great reaction as always. Talking about sensual performances and chairs, there is another highly sensual performance from Lara that makes this song look "tamed". It involves a chair too and it absolutely blew my mind (not because of her flexibility, but that is impressive too LOL) and I've been a Lara Fan and been following her career for over 25 years now so that is saying something! The song is called 'Dites-Moi Pourquoi Je L'aime'. Unfrtunately the video quality is far from ideal, but it wont take away from her masterful performance. I saw down below someone wrote that he needs a cigarette after watching this performance, so I wonder if half a pack of cigarettes and a double shot of single malt will ease the heat for him when he sees this one. Dear Christee. I think you should have a listen to Lara singing Comme Ils Disent, an Aznavour original, in 2003. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6fVk3uufsd-Z5I. It has English subtitles so you can match her performance with the lyrics, and a few minutes of written introduction ( by me) , but I am sure you can skip these in a review. Another chance to see her craft at work. Try it!

I love Lara Fabian, I think she is one of the best female interpreters but that song has nothing to do with Tango, based on the fact that the main instrument of tango is the bandoneon, not the accordion, that makes the song have nothing to do with similar to a tango.

I don’t personally hear what she has in common with Celine. The ONLY thing they both do (kind of) is the pronunciation of 1-2 vowels because they both speak French with an accent from Quebec. Besides that, they’re two very different vocalists and performers, whose songs are very different and unique sounding
