Hello from Germany. Me too, I love the music of VOB. It's not only their great musicianship and the themes they are bringing in. I can't really explain it, but they are touching my soul. It doesn't happen often that music gives me goosebumps or tears in my eyes (like 'God allow me (please) to play music does).I am an old hardrocklady and today I often miss the vibes in the technical almost perfect metallmusic. But VOB have these vibes. I think it is the band that is really needed in this world!

The first one I heard was Enter Sandman and a live concert phone footage. I enjoyed the unexpected styles and cultures mashed together but wasn't a big fan, but curious about them. I started listening to their studio mixes and videos and really saw their talent and creativity. Phone concerts don't do them justice. They have very important and blunt messages too. They are on a mission! We are glad to ride along into battle! ❤️

A very difficult song to talk about because of the terrible abuse behind it. One such example was a teacher in Indonesia who abused his position of trust and assaulted many of his female students (many of them becoming pregnant) before he was arrested. Marsya spoke about this particular example at one of their shows in Europe, a very difficult subject, as each band member has also experienced harassment or assault. Men are the problem, men need to learn, men can stop this.

VoB vocalist and guitarist, Firda "Marsya" Kurnia, hopes that the latest song from her band can educate all parties that women are not public property. Marsya said that their fear of violence against women would get worse in the future, which was the reason for making this song. "In our opinion, what should be encouraged is education as well. Because you can't keep ordering women to dress like this, like that," said Marsya. According to Marsya, education is one of the first ways to prevent violence that often happens to women. Marsya added, the song "[Not] Public Property" is also a vessel for the voices of women who are survivors of sexual violence. Marsya admits that the idea to work on the song was born out of concern and people's response to survivors of sexual violence. The idea actually emerged from two years ago. Composition of music was done from home due to the social restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. "So we feel that in the midst of the victims' trauma and fear, they still often fuss about how they were dressed when the violence occurred, questioning their bodies when the violence occurred. They say the victim contributed to the incident of violence," said Marsya. The three members of VoB feel that their own interests need to be emphasized in songwriting because of their role as Indonesian women. VoB, they are three brave young women 🔥🤘 and they will come back to the US in October. I love your reactions and opinions to VoB, thanks bro 🙌

Brave and vocal which is why I appreciate this song so much. There are problems like this all over the world, and I am glad they are part of the solution. I do think it will improve, it may not disappear, but it will improve. Especially as those responsible are being held for their actions. This is a wonderful step forward!

11:10 hello dane, based of what i watched from their interview, and marsha said they already having "it" back then when they were in junior high school, especially widi is the one who got the sexual harrashment verbal and physical, so it left a very big trauma on them, and marsha still meeting her therapist and take the meds until today to control her trauma for what she was had in the past. So sad reality of such a talented girls, so that was actually the back story of the song / (not) public property, because they don't want the same thing happened to another girl/ women out there
