As such, the needy are hindered on attaining happiness of gaining wealth (such as to have the ability to feed a family, buy proper clothes, have good homes and store funds for emergency such as hospitals or utilities).

Love this character concept so much. She's so well-connected to established champions, which is great in comparison to some of League's other recent offerings - Camille killed her parents and caused her to become the person she is today; she funded research done by Viktor; she apparently had a falling-out with Swain at one point; she apparently did... something to Ekko's family (hopefully they're okay); and she even has a meaningful hostility with Seraphine that cuts deeper then the other "Riot has a champion be self-aware about how Seraphine's lore is a little bit undercooked" lines we've gotten currently (maybe she was involved in Seraphine's family being able to afford to move to Piltover? that could be cool!)... A++++

@@dot2382 No, because Seraphine was born Zaun, then moved to Piltover and live there. Sometimes sing a little song about unity for attention but does nothing for Zaun. She has become an idol for Piltover, not Zaun if you notice how Zaunites have to visit Piltover just to attend her concert in the splash art. If anything Seraphine is a type of character that has good intentions but isn't capable of doing anything that's realisticly useful. Reneta called her out because of that, and also being a coward fleeing Zaun to live a "better life", if she was willing to be a voice for both she should have gone back to Zaun and fought for them but nope.

Renata is one of best and unique champions I’ve seen, just based on visual character design and her voice. Her design is incredible with all the colors and details. And her voice is just amazing. There's a conflict to her world view that makes her so interesting. Her parents were generous and charitable, but it lead to them being poor and leaving her alone. She obviously loved them for their goodnes but it was that same 'goodness' that took them from her. So she did the opposite of what her parents did capitalizing her skills. Betraying her parents memory and the worst part is that it works! She becomes immensely rich and almost spiteful of the system that rewards and validates her outlook.

Only Seraphine's parents were from Zaun. Seraphine was born in Piltover, and hadn't gone down to Zaun until much later in her life.

Yeah but the interaction says more about Renata than Seraphine; in context, Renata's concerns aren't actually of Zaun, but simply her own personal bottom line for power. She only calls Seraphine a traitor not because she doesn't support Zaun, but because she doesn't support HER IN SPECIFIC, and Sera trying to UNITE the PNZ rather than take it over is a flaw in her book.

Renata compared to Zeri is two completely different worlds. Reneta has all this hype with her own website, Zeri was just dropped on us without any fanfair; Reneta's interactions with other champions feel great and well established, whilst Zeri's felt like a YA novel fan's OC thrown in. It's actually crazy how different they are even without being that far apart in release from each other.

If you check out the lore, Zaunites actually tend to overblow Piltover's oppression on them. Most of Zaun's problems comes from Zaun itself. The biggest thing holding back Zaun is it's own culture.

Silco wouldn't really work as a champion conceptually. The guy could work as a leader in a strategy game, not so much as a fighter. 3). She is black? Not how it looks like based on her alt skin. Then the champion would become less about Silco and more about that other character. Renata is a character we desperately needed in league, and not because of her race or gender. She’s visually far different compared to the last couple years AND looks different from the rest of the female cast to boot. Her personality is interesting as well as her motivations, that’s why people like her.

Agreed. Seriously 5 out of the last 7 champs they made were pure trash, the two ones that didn't suck were tied to the dumpster fire of the Ruination, and all the ones after Senna were underbaked. I'm actually hyped to read what Renata's color story is, and I haven't been hype for a color story since Senna. I did like Vex's color story, but my expectations for it were originally quite low.
