Kehlani said herself that she was scared to do a tiny desk because their is no in ear microphone, because she suffers from hearing loss and was afraid her voice would sound forced (i dont remember her exact words but it was something along the lines of that), but i think she honestly did amazing considering how long they gave her too!!

Kehlani is a vocal beast. She's very underrated! Her voice is so unique and you know it's her when you hear her on the radio! She deserves more credit! Than the industry gives to her. She should have a Grammy already! She seems to be such a caring individual and she speaks up for injustices done unto others. She's definitely a bright light in this world! Her current album is like a mixture of all genres. She's a versatile artist! One thing you know about her. She's going to sing and dance her butt off! Her microphone stays on! This is my first time seeing her use background singers, in a live performance & they sounded real good! The band was 🔥 too!

Jaron you make every video so EXCITING. The way you breakdown their performance and techniques are REMARKABLE! You keep us viewers glued in the entire segment. 🏅

Kehlani herself has said a lot of what makes her singing is playing with her softness and tone. And your analysis is so on point, she’s a lot of my inspiration for learning how to sing and mimicking so I actively mimicked her breathing and vocal force (or lack of). It’s so lovely to do

I actually feel like she held back here a lot vocally because she was nervous. I guess even the best get stage fright from time to time.

I agree, a relaxed chilled voice. See Sade, Suzanne Vega, Lou Reed, some of my fave singers are not belters w amazing control.
