@@VocalSplendorStudios the funny point was that she was already world famous by this song before she reached her audience in the Netherlands. By joining the Beste Zangers she became really known by the Dutch people. Nowadays nobody can’t get around her except for those who slept under a stone (dutch expression :-) Always enjoying your comments over others because they are so thoughtful. So thanks 🙏🏻

Yeah Davina is something else isnt she? Such a powerful singer with an amazing voice on her. Her discovery still sound a bit like a fairytale because when she did this cover (she already was successful, dont get me wrong!), after this it all blew up massively. Partly because Pink reacted to it and partly because it was such a good cover, and Pink was so impressed that she invited Davina to perform with Pink during her tour. (unsure if this also meant for countries outside the Netherlands) Others mentioned that Pink said "so this is what that song is supposed to sound like" (or something similar) but that wasnt the big part for me, the big part of what Pink said was way more important, she paused her reaction to genuinely ask if this lady had a contract and if not that she should be signed right away, with a look on her face stating "WTF" and concern about a talent that might not get the chance to show the world what she can do. (her expression was pretty clearly one of respect, surprise and awe) Davina is an amazing singer with a lovely raw edge to her style and vocals, she rightfully is seen as one of the best singers the Netherlands has to offer. Thnx for the react Valerie, you're practically Dutch by now with all these great reactions to our Dutch talents hehehe. (or at the very least, i'd say you've become a honorary Dutchie ;) )

Oh thank you! I do have some Dutch Ancestry on my family tree. And I also have a former voice student and a delightful singer, who met her Dutch husband, who is a bass player, touring. They live in the Netherlands, now. I've fallen hard for the Dutch singers, the singing culture and this wonderful show.

This cover started it all for Davina, she basically got discovered by the whole world throug this. Especially when P!nk herself reacted to Davina's cover in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIjFZYdrh5uNlac After this, Davina's career exploded like a rocketship being launched into the stars. It's because of this cover, Davina was even asked for "De Beste Zangers". and all the other stuff sha has been doing since.

Davina has quite severe ADHD, and for me she is kind of a role model, showing people with that "handicap" that you can turn a handicap into a strength.

Valerie, Did you ever bother to think this young lady may have a particular form of Tourettes? Nerves play a big part in it but I'm guessing Davinas' 'movements' are expressions of her inner emotions as well as an aide to get the sound & note she requires out, which is quite common, I think anyway.

The word is that this young lady Davina has no vocal training so with that said we are looking at one of God's angels in real life this is truly a miracle we are watching very powerful voice only a angle can have 🙏
