This is a popular Ukrainian song about a person remembering the marigolds that his mother planted when they were a child... he learned the lyrics and music overnight before the concert ...he sang it not only for his mother, but also for International Women's Day...and of course in honor of being in the Ukraine...

Hi Coach It is a beautiful and so sentimental Ukrainian Folk song which Dimash dedicated to His Mother. I was crying with his mother BTW I am not a MOM and I am older then Dimash by only 5 years But I felt his words and I was so proud of him as if he was mine. He is a great storyteller. This how he was good I felt it.

I enjoyed your reaction to Dimash. I heard that he was specifically singing the song to his mother as a tribute. It is well known how deeply he feels about his parents, and grandparents as well. I am sure the pride she carries in her heart for her son is immense!

here's the official lyrics of the song translated to English, although I think Dimash changed it up a bit. Marigolds were planted by my mom In my morning native land And she taught me how to sing spring songs About my flowering hope When I look at those marigolds I see my aging mother I see your hands, mommy, Your kind words I hear, my dear I've known partings and encounters In the foreign lands Marigolds from the native land That you planted in the spring When I look at those marigolds I see my aging mother I see your hands, mommy, Your kind words I hear, my dear Cranes are flying towards our fields From lands far away Flowers and destiny are blooming On my Ukrainian lands When I look at those marigolds I see my aging mother I see your hands, mommy, Your kind words I hear, my dear

What is even more impressive than his incredible voice and amazing technic, is his ability to tell the story of a song. He completely immerses himself into the lyrics, he doesn't just sing a song, he "Lives" it. As one professional voice teacher said, "Dimash is the only singer I've ever heard who has absolutely Everything." 😊🏴👍

You're right. Thiscis a melancholic song. About aging mom. He dedicated this Ukrainian folk song to his Ukrainian fans there, all his Dears in the audience, his mother......for International Women's Day.

Thank you for your reaction to our Dimash. His surname, btw, is pronounced as "Kud'Ai-Ber'gEn". The accent is on the last syllable 😊 besides, "Kudai-Bergen"means "Given by God"😊 Please don't take this comment as offensive, I love your professional reactions 😊❤ Regards from Kazakhstan.

There is an older song Dimash sings with both his parents called "Dearest Mother". It was written by Dimash's father for his grandmother, who they sing to in the audience. Hearing his parents sing together (his mother being an opera singer, and his father a pop singer), has been described as hearing his chest voice singing with his head voice.

Thank you for your great reaction to this beautiful traditional song. Every time I listen to the great voice of Dimash sing it I cry thinking of my own mother planting her marigolds in her new adopted land of Canada but never forgot the land of her birth where she spent her formative years. Dimash is truly the cultural icon of the 21st century with the greatest most beautiful voice ever. 🤗🌸🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦

Of course, Mamo means Mama. The Marigolds are the sweet flowers that his mother planted for him. This was so tender.

Well...I''m glad he didn't go into some high falsetto warbling in this song because the "understated" vocals were very effective. By way of comparison, A Ukrainian Orthodox priest sang this song on The Voice Ukraine 2017 which he eventually won. Search "Oleksandr Klymenko - Chornobryvtsi" if you are interested. Happy Easter!

This is not a folk song. It was written in the 60s and was first performed by a famous Ukrainian opera singer.

Loved your reaction and comments! FYI, no copyright strikes if you get the video from Dimash’s channel or Gloria Wu’s KZbin channel where for many songs you’ll get the translations AND for a few songs the important backstory. Two such songs, based on true events, are “Autumn Strong” and “Daybreak.”

The Your Love videos appear to be being removed by the fashion show event producers where the song was being performed. This song is a Ukranian folk song that Dimash learned the words in Ukranian only the previous evening. Of course he didn't sing in high notes here, why would he spoil this sensitive and beautiful tribute to mothers and for his mother especially (who goes to all his concerts as does his father, brother and sister), there is no need to expect high explosives in everything he sings. This went down especially well in this concert 🌹

Your Love was sung at the Kremlin Palace and they (Russia) have decided to have all rights to it, so if you are not paying, they are no letting you react to it now. I have also heard that China is playing this game with some of his sing off music from there. As someone said, this was filmed in Ukraine and we do not do what they will do with it yet. You can find the Lyrics on the internet..
