It's always a pleasure watching your reactions, especially to Nightwish and/or just Floor. Tuomas dedicated parts of this song from Nightwish's new album to Floor. E.g. "We met where the cliff greets the sea.. Shared a story, took the leap. Rose up rooted, hid a note. You know where. You`ve been there" refers to how Floor met her husband Hannes van Dahl, who is the drummer for the Swedish band Sabaton. And "Now there`s one who came from me. A child of light, another tale. Dear one" refers to Floor giving birth to their Freja daughter.

Shared a story, took the leap. This part referes to how Floor joined Nightwish. Shared a story (Floor’s first band After Forever was Nightwish support act in the European tour of 2002.), took the leap (From Europe to America where the band was touring when Anette left and Floor was flewn in as her replacement).

Multi-instrumentalist, Troy Donockley, formerly of the UK Celtic Prog band, "Iona" became an official member of Nightwish at the same time as Floor. He had done session work, appeared in the official video for "The Islander", and did some touring previous to Floor joining the "Imaginaerum" tour in late 2012. Along with guitar, he specializes in Irish "Uilleann" bagpipes, tin whistles, Bouzouki & mandolin.

This is from the new album. Hvman::Natvre . Each song is awesome on it's own, but if you start from 'Music' and go on, it becomes a story. very cool, and there's so much technique, you can still tell on studio, plus you get lyrics. You really need to hear all three of them together on something live. There's a ton of 3 part harmony on the new album, and they went back and did some of their older music like that, but my fave with Troy ( not counting the new stuff ) is still a toss up between I Want My Tears Back at Wacken, and My Walden from Tampere. Great songs, and they always have so much fun. :) Love if you'd react to one of those sometime.

Thank you Valerie, so wonderfully done and with love and admiration. Apart from the sheer technical ability of Floor's voice, there is also a tone, an unknown element that somehow resonates with us and evokes emotions we sometimes didn't even know we had. Here's is a truly special gift as you have expressed to us on many occasions. Floor is truly a gift to us all, to Humanity as a whole, and that she is framed within the brilliance that is Nightwish as a whole, really a warmth and panacea for us all.

Also their new album Human:Nature came out a few weeks ago and Floor does some vocal techniques that I have never heard before, so would be very curious to hear what a vocal coach thinks about it. The songs that are particularly interesting are Music, Shoemaker, Pan & Tribal.

Thank you for this reaction, dear Valerie :). This song captures parts of my inner self - It rings a lot of bells. Language is one form of music. We will HAVE to come together - no borders or "kingdoms" any more - so the human race will be able to cope with problems of the future. It needs one world-language, playing "catch" with vast amounts of regional-languages. Together we are strongest.

@@luisnunes2010 People are dead, because of open borders? Hm. You shouldn't have launched rockets at people crossing this border (what border?) If you are talking about virus-stuff - trading makes ALL the contact in the world. Every virus is everywhere - mainly because people who want to make money are everywhere. Not a "globalist" problem, a capitalist problem. Totally solid views seem to be YOUR guiding motive. Think a bit more. It's healthy for the head.

Floor ( nightwish) is one of my favorite vocalists. In my top 6 still performing. My favorite female vocalist in the world is “ Park Ki Young” from Korea. She is so versatile that she can belt them with equal emotional impact , range and power in rock, pop, soul, jazz and classical ( opera). A few of my favorites that are worthy of reacting to: ( either privately or publicly) KZbin: “I dreamt I dwelt in Marble Halls” ( 5:02 duration. A rare hidden gem that she performs the way it was intended to be performed : as an opera in English. Being a vocal coach you will be impressed. Anya’s Version is the standard but sung more as a ballad but Park Ki Young opera style takes you to church and beyond. Far better version. “ Nella Fantasia “ ( 4:08 duration. the best version ever and I’ve watched and listened to all the world class female vocalists perform this) But please don’t judge a vocalist by the number of requests you receive-altho your fans are usually right. But I’m a professional singer and most of my singing friends unanimously agree that Park Ki Young is currently the best female vocalist in the world. A few consider “Morissette, Floor, Diana Ankudinova and Sohyang as their favorites I concur. But what I’m trying to say is I believe Park Ki Young deserves far far more reactions than she has been receiving and I promise you and your subscribers who love the 5 other vocalists mentioned ( and I am among them) that you won’t be disappointed listening to a Park Ki Young song. Please start your Park Ki Young Journey with “ Nella Fantasia” ( click first vid 4:08) Then “ I dreamt I Dwelt In Marble Halls Park” ( 5:02). One of the rare ones performed by her in English and OMG OMG OMG. Then the rest. “goodbye a word that’s too short” ( click 5:08 one and her high notes are angelic and that last note... OMG!) “wound” ( emotionally impactful 5:57 duration ) “Hit hee Park Ki Young” (one of my all-time favorites 5:18 duration) Lonely Night ( one of a serious of “ Mask” performances that she won. Amazing vocal range. One in a million can sustain that last note. Click first version 4 : 10 duration) All love in isolation from Miami Beach, Florida. Al
