I wish he would react to Kelly singing her Meaning of Life album. I love all the songs. Especially Love So Soft, Didn't I when she sang it on a show, Move You, in the Nashville Sessions, A Whole Lotta Woman on The BBMA show, Broken and Beautiful that she sang when her appendix could have been ruptured that she hosted.Also I enjoyed Kelly Clarkson do a number of covers at the 2018 and 2019 awards show. Kelly also singing at the 2020 awards show with no audience. She sang with Pentatonix, Sheila E, and many others.

@@steveheckle8847 she’s definitely a powerhouse of vocals and extremely skilled, but she is trying to staying relevant by doing these type of shows and trying to stay in the eye of viewers. He literally asked what people would like to see more of in a poll and most people said reaction videos. That's what the majority of his audience wants, I'm sure it's not the only content he'll make. He's a genuinely fun person to watch and I find his takes interesting as a singer. Great video!

Not alot of women have the lower range or dark, dramatic tone of Toni Braxton. She is notoriously hard to imitate. They only other singer I can think of with a similar tone is 90's R&B singer Des'ree.

Happy Birthday Sam! I'm not a singer by any means, but I do love to sing and to me being able to sing really well is akin to having a super power. However, I rarely would sing because I thought I don't sound like so and so, so what's the point. The occasions where I would sing when I was alone, as soon as I made an unpleasant noise, I stopped singing. These videos over the last 3 years or so really have helped me understand that even though I'll never sound like a professional singer, I can still improve my own singing skills. And now when I'm driving, cooking or whatever I can even enjoy singing. I've thought about booking a lesson with Sam but I'm absolutely horrified by the thought of subjecting him to my voice and so every time I go to book, I change my mind. Still, these videos help me a lot with my own technique and enjoyment in singing. Thank you so much for that Sam! I honestly never thought that could be the case for me.

Hey Sam. Love your channel! Great reaction/analysis of two of the greatest singers of our era. By the way, while you have always been good with dry humor quips, you have definitely stepped up your game lately. Also it was nice to see you recently do a video with your girlfriend...keep those collabs coming! Question: Listening to your speaking voice, I'm curious as to where you would define your vocal type. High baritone? Tenor? I know with proper technique, you don't have to limit yourself to a particular vocal range, but there is that natural comfortable area where our voices sit. What's yours?
@SamJohnsonVoice2 жыл бұрын
hi! i'm finding that i'm kind of a generic baritenor. high notes are very easy but i feel best when i don't spend the whole song up there. think jean valjean or robert from bridges of madison county. with opera rep while i'd probably end up being some sort of tenor in time the tessitura is just generally so high that i wouldn't currently go out for tenor roles.

Sam johnson, l feel that you don't care for Kelly's singing very much compared to Ariana's singing. That's ok. I love Kelly's soprano singing. She has a higher singing voice compared to Ariana's lower soft voice. Kelly has been singing for over 20 years and she knows how to make her voice broader and fuller, so she can belt out Whitney Houston songs and also Dolly Parton's softer voice. Check out Kelly singing "I Will Always Love You" at Dolly Parton's tribute at the ACM Awards this year. I would like to hear your reaction to that. Kelly has so much emotion in her voice when she sings anybody's song. Check out The Kelly Clarkson Show. Kelly sings any genre doing short covers of other people's songs. Kelly sings them every day on her show. She learns the song the morning she has the show. A random person is picked and Kelly sings whatever they want her to sing. She goes over the song once before the show, and then the show begins with it. Thanks for your reaction, Sam Johnson, with Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson singing very short segments of other people's songs from Jimmy Fallon's show, "That's My Jam." You know all the technical stuff of how singers sing the way that they do. I like your reaction! God bless you.
